Solution Consultants (pre-sales) are responsible for articulating and demonstrating how Numerator solutions provide visibility, insights, efficiencies, and financial value for the CPG, retailer, and advertising industries. This includes the ability to discuss, collect, and understand business requirements, determine the optimal solution(s) and approach to meet and exceed these requirements, propose alternative solutions when requirements cannot be fully met, handle objections, demonstrate relevant real-world use cases and advanced product concepts within the solution itself, and estimate and articulate the expected business value resulting from partnering with Numerator. The Solution Consultant will possess a wealth of knowledge and industry experience upon which to rely not only to solve these complex business issues but also to build credibility with the prospective customer. Ultimately, Solution Consultants work the Sales Directors to drive successful conversion of prospects to customers while engaging with existing customers to expand their relationships and maintain a current perspective of industry issues, trends, and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Present and demonstrate the Numerator solution portfolio as the best solution to meet customer needs to audiences at various levels including C-level executives.

  • Understand prospective customer business processes, solution needs, and how Numerator solutions are the best solution to drive value in these areas.

  • Build and present the business case for partnering with Numerator by identifying and estimating the value of relevant use cases and efficiency gains.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

  • Respond to Requests for Proposals.

  • Share product and industry insights with Product Management.

  • Advocate for and present Numerator solutions in marketing webinars, customer conferences, and industry events.

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) with 3+ years of relevant experience in the industry.

  • Deep understanding of at least one of the following markets: durable goods, retail, CPG (consumer packaged goods), and advertising industries.

  • Deep understanding of eCommerce, Brand Protection, and Digital aspects of marketing intelligence.

  • CPG and/or Durable Goods expert on Pricing Intelligence (specifically MAP - Minimum Advertised Pricing data/solutions) and / or Promotions Intelligence data/solutions)

  • Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis applications is required.

  • Experience with the sales process and RFP process.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint or other presentation applications is required.

  • Solid understanding of merchandising practices including product mix and assortment, pricing, and promotions.

  • Track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner while under high pressure.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to travel domestically (United States) up to 50% of the time.

This is a HCO customer-focused position responsible for achieving and striving to exceed defined sales targets. The ESC also creates, cultivates and maintains outstanding relationships with hotel/convention center venue staff (especially within the sales and event services departments). The role encompasses extensive interaction with customers, hotel and convention center contacts, and print decision makers on local sales calls, over the phone, via email and face-to-face. The Events Solutions Consultant works with minimal supervision and interacts on a daily basis with customers, Center Managers, center team members, vendors and personnel of the HCO host facility toward accomplishing established business objectives. General Duties and Responsibilities (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive) * Represent FedEx Office (FXO) as the on-site sales and support expert for event managers and other key event participants throughout all phases of events * Demonstrate consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, and expert service is delivered to customers and host properties; selling efforts should reflect excellent professionalism, throughtful research, consistent follow-through and persistence * Identify new opportunities to create or build business relationships through pre-event selling activities and marketing strategies * Represent FXO by attending key department meetings, site visits, planning meetings and pre-convention meetings in the HCO host facility which may include making presentations on FXO's product and service offerings to decision makers * Act as FXO's primary relationship owner for the Sales and Event Services teams within the host venue, hold product/service overview presentations with these and other departments/leaders within the host venue to ensure (1) each department) understands FXO's products/services and (2) venue employees act as enthusiastic advocates for FXO within their property * Ensure customer and host property satisfaction throughout the entire sales process (pre-event activities to post event activities) as defined by the HCO program * Drive revenue at assigned HCO center(s) by making sales calls on nearby hotels and convention facilities to identify and secure new revenue opportunities, delivering capabilities presentations in host locations, pre-event selling, on-demand support, post-event follow up and sharing information with other ESCs * Participate in or lead Quarterly Business Reviews in host locations and support lease renewal activities as assigned * Share leads for upcoming convention/events in other venues across FXO network * Maintain consistent contact with key personnel of the HCO host facility for all inquires of FXO's products and service offerings * Take complex job orders and provide quotes to meeting and event planners or show managers; follow up on bids * Monitor the quality and timeliness of all convention/event-related work ordered and produced to ensure customer satisfaction * Initiate timely contact with future groups via email and phone calls at the time of booking confirmation * Review strategies, activities and performance to goals weekly with the manager;
