Savan Group is looking for a Solutions Architect to create solution architectures to replace aging and outdated systems. This resource will address numerous developments, modernization, and enhancement requests by working with the business community to develop high-level business requirements, solution architecture, and technology roadmaps.
Candidates must take a broad perspective, looking at commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products, platforms and custom components that can easily be configured or developed to support the clients mission.
Job Location: Onsite, Washington, D.C. (100%)
Anticipated Start Date:
November 2018
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years information technology experience.
2+ years of solutions architecture experience with emphasis in application and cloud architecture.
Must have a broad understanding of technologies, trends, and their advantages/disadvantages.
Ability to think strategically about business, create technical solutions around customer objectives in complex situations.
Ability to develop solution strategies, motivate and mobilize resources, as well as deliver results.
Experience documenting solution architecture.
Experience in federal consulting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelors degree (relevant experience may be substituted for education).
US Citizenship Required.
Active Public Trust or ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle Financials.
Experience with mortgage origination and servicing.
Experience with JAVA frameworks such as Apache Tomcat, FreeMarker Template, and/or Hibernate.
Experience with .NET frameworks 3.5 to 4.7.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, and/or Nodes.js.
Experience with programming languages such as C#.NET, C++, and/or Java.
Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Velocity.
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and/or IBM DB2.
Experience with enterprise architecture tools such as SPARX, MEGA, and/or System Architect.

Purpose: Lead the systems architecture and technical solution for mission critical application for a customer. Responsibilities: * Serves as technical lead for providing guidance to other solution architects and other members of the system delivery team to include but not limited to developers, testers, system administrators, etc. * Assist with systems planning development, testing, and deployment activities. * Provides architectural expertise to managers and technical staff. * Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines in accordance with the strategy and goals of the organization. * Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy. * Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. * Conducts analysis of alternatives and advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management. Tracks current plans that will require IT resources. * Monitors and reviews the success of systems and ensures efficiency and effectiveness. * Recommends future computer system technologies that will help in the improvement of business in the organization. * Integrates IT solution systems for the business with the existing systems. * Performs research on emerging technologies to support proof-of-concept (POC) capabilities and identify future solutions for the organization * Work collaboratively with the customer and other contractors supporting the requirements to ensure quality code following customer standards and industry best practices. * Interfacing with the stakeholders in order to determine systems and their evolving needs and to ensure that a robust and efficient design is developed. * Provide PM with high-level application and systems design, providing feedback and assessing options and recommendations * Serves as technical liaison with the business community to communicate challenging IT issues in plain English. * Advises and works closely with OPM leadership to adopt innovative ideas at OPM. Qualifications Number of Years Experience Required: * 10+ years of experience designing and delivering complex IT systems. * Must have a minimum of three (3) years of hands on application development experience. Minimum Education and Certifications Required: * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Technical Skills Required: Computer Skills: * Microsoft Office Suite Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: * US Citizenship required * Ability to communicate and work effectively with other team members. * Demonstrated ability to communicate and interface with the customer and interpret requirements. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
