Solutions Architect, Product


Technically focused member of the pre-sales and sales team with a strong understanding of network management

solutions and knowledge of the performance and analytics industry. The role will be to work with the sales and technical

team providing hands on demonstrations, POCs and POVs. Assist in the creation and development of accurate and realistic

costing of proposals at the pre-sales stage. To include the pre-sales coverage required in the early, mid and final stages of

the sales process. This is a client facing role requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior

executives in prospect accounts within the North America region


Education of clients, potential clients and colleagues in the scope, features and operation of our solutions. This

includes creating and giving online and onsite presentations and demonstrations

Assisting the sales team in creating and running POCs, POVs

When necessary, deploy and rollout the network management solution accurately and efficiently in POCs

As required, conduct sales enablement training for existing clients

As required, conduct sales enablement training for existing clients, BMC and non-BMC partners to allow them to

maximise the sales benefits of the solution

Assist the sales team with bids and tenders for new clients, providing a technical perspective and guidance as to

suitability of solutions for each client

Capture and assess client requirements and perform gap/fit analysis against possible solutions

Coordinate with other technical resources as necessary to provide depth of understanding when required

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the current features and roadmap of our core offerings and associated products

Identify and evaluate new commercial opportunities that arise through advancement in technology or new software


When necessary, support the Global Sales in high level meetings with BMC, our partners and key Accounts


Accountable for providing excellent presales, post sales and technical support

Working closely with the Technical Services Manager to ensure all targets are met

Working closely with the sales, marketing and product management teams

Working with customers and partners to ensure successful deployments and support

Maintain an up to date understanding of the network and infrastructure future trends


Reporting to the Manager, Solution Architect, Product

Supporting the sales and technical management of the BMC relationship

Supporting the successful partner relationships to secure more business

Supporting the VP Sales in campaigns and marketing activities


A minimum of 5 years of technical support or technical sales, customer facing engineering and/or pre-sales


Broad, in-depth knowledge of datacentre hardware e.g. storage, servers and networking

Experience with monitoring solutions for enterprise storage and/or hardware maintenance solutions

Experience with technical sales/pre-sales in one or more of the following enterprise server/storage technologies:

EMC, SUN, Hitachi, HP, Dell, IBM, NetApp or Cisco

Experience in technical pre-sales into datacentres and/or datacentre technologies or experience in running

datacentres and/or datacentre Technologies

Knowledgeable in legacy server/storage technologies Evidence of strong written and verbal communications skills

Minimal management experience is a plus

Technical troubleshooting skills

Aware of monitoring technologies and configuration

VIEW JOBS 5/5/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-03T00:00 Overview The Product Solutions Manager (PSM), Automation is a front-line technical professional responsible for partnering with Sales and Marketing to develop and implement automation solutions on Oxford Immunotec's products. The candidate will serve as the technical lead for high throughput customer opportunities and assist Sales in converting competitive accounts. PSM, Automation is a remote position and is a key part of the North American (US and Canada) commercial team, reporting to Sr. Manager, Technical Services. Responsibilities Pre-Implementation * Serve as technical services expert to customize automation solutions to meet customer needs for account opportunities. * Partner with Sales to convert competitive accounts through selling the value of automation and high throughput solutions by meeting with key stakeholders and delivering customer presentations. * Orchestrate all aspects of project management of automation and high throughput solutions utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies for new and existing accounts. * Create and deliver equipment configuration proposals, work schedule and process efficiencies. * Create customer proposal for product and automation solutions to meet customer expectations and requirements (e.g. lab space, staff, financial, etc). Implementation * Develop, deliver and gain alignment on customer implementation timeline and plan proposal. This will also include lean process and site-specific roadmaps for Operational Excellence. * Drive customer accountability to the implementation timeline and meet established go-live date. * Provide coaching and development, and act as a leader and motivator for the OI Technical Services Team to increase their pre-implementation expertise. * Assist with post-installation transition planning for newly converted automation solution customers with Technical Team members for smooth and successful customer validation and training. Cross-functional Collaboration * Sales - Develop and execute strategic implementation plans to prioritize, retain and expand current customers as well as pursue and convert competitive accounts. Additionally, the PAS may develop and execute technical product materials to coach and train the US Sales team. * Marketing - Assist in creation of marketing collateral and messaging for downstream and upstream products. * R&D and Strategic Marketing - As needed, support development work, technical document writing (input, review and approval) and project management on different phases of product development. * Quality Control & Regulatory - Maintain CRM ( and follow all compliance and regulatory procedures through ETQ to retain knowledge and execute company policies. Qualifications * 7+ years of experience working in a combination of clinical and diagnostics industry laboratory. Must have experience in writing technical and commercial training documents and SOPs. Experience in immunology, infectious disease, microbiology or similar fields. Additional expertise validating and implementing high throughput equipment is also highly preferred. * BS in Life Sciences or related field. * Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certified or higher with experience in project management tools is preferred. * Capable of handling multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize effectively. * Able to deliver results with minimal supervision in a fast paced team environment. * Proficient at uncovering key business issues, well developed analytical skills including data collection and opportunities, and ability to provide insightful recommendations for improvement. * Advanced verbal and written communication skills. * Key leadership attributes, such as customer focused, results and metrics driven, collaborative and situational adaptability. * Experience with Excel and PowerPoint. * Must be able to travel at least 50% or more. Role will require some international travel. * Must have a valid driver's license and a passport.
