The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) Division is seeking a Lead or Senior Solutions Architect (Level 4 or 5) to join our Mission Systems Operations team in Herndon, VA. Our team focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area which design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers. Position Overview:

The Solutions Architect will be a part of a high-performing team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part in developing hardware and software solutions for our client's proprietary programs. This role will include translating customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations and program growth, facility design, hardware selection, software selection and development, system integration, testing, and operations and maintenance (O&M).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform system integration; hardware and software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.

  • Install, configure, and maintain multi-platform systems, hardware, software, and components.

  • Plan, develop, design, integrate, and maintain all computer applications, including specialized applications specific to program objectives.

  • Plan and coordinate highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release.

  • Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives.

  • Evaluate complex system production readiness and supportability.

  • Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations.

  • Perform complex system problem identification and resolution.

  • Integrate security solutions into information systems.

  • Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Use knowledge of both

Hyperflex/UCS and Windows administration.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite at a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in the locations listed above.

Work Authorization:

This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Candidate must have an active Full Scope Polygraph (FS Poly).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years or more of experience troubleshooting complex network problems

  • 5 years or more of experience in communicating with customer representatives in a variety of forums, in both written and spoken form, regarding technical subjects.

  • 5 years or more leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 5 years or more of experience working with virtualized environment

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Level 5

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Typical summary pay range (Level 4):$132,600 - $179,400

Typical summary pay range (Level 5): $154,700 - $209,300
