The Solution Architect for IGDS eContent Classification and Data remediation practice is responsible for Pre-Sale solution design, demonstration, business requirements discovery and assistance in level of effort/pricing decisions. Post-Sale, the Solution Architect is responsible for detailed design, development and deployment of the solutions. The solutions offered by this practice include ROT remediation, PII identification, Database Archiving and Enterprise Content Management. Once the solution is sold, the Solution Architect is responsible for the successful, on time, on budget implementation of the solution and is a primary determinant of customer satisfaction. The Solution Architect reports to a practice Principal in the IGDS Professional Services practice.

The Solution Architect

  • Leads the design and development of IGDS eContent Classification and Data Remediation solutions by developing, demonstrating and delivering profitable IGDS solutions so as to facilitate high customer satisfaction and follow-on/add-on sales. In addition to solution design, the Solution Architect will configure, script/code, test and support customer 'go-live' and mentoring activities as needed. On larger implementations, the Solution Architect will be responsible for managing solution consultants and developers in solution implementation.

  • Supports sales by

  • Contributing technical knowledge and expertise to assist IGDS Professional Services and Sales teams for the IGDS service line,

  • Developing/participating in customized demonstrations, detailed business requirements discovery, business process analysis, technical project management, and assisting in the development of proposals, RFP responses and SOW's.

  • Maintain a presence as a 'trusted advisor' with customers.

  • Interacts with external vendors to develop and leverage relationships to build creative solutions and improve service delivery capabilities.

  • Maintains consistent, timely, and high quality management reporting requirements as outlined by the IGDS Pre-Sales Technical Manager


  • Bachelor's Degree Business / Technical required

  • 5+ years of design, development, implementation and presales support for Enterprise Content Management, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning based file analysis tools and/or Database archiving

  • Experience in technology consulting professional services, either in a consulting firm or in the professional services arm of a technology products company

  • Travel 30%-40% per month

  • Expert skills in at least one of the following and familiarity with the others:

  • Electronic Content Management/Business Process Management solutions (preferably Microfocus Content Manager or Hyland OnBase)

  • File Analysis solutions (preferably Microfocus Control Point/Autonomy IDOL or Active Navigation)

  • Database Archiving solutions (preferably Microfocus Structured Data Manager)

  • Preferred: Pre-sales experience in service or outsourcing industry

  • Ability to work with technology and sales partners

  • Ability to interact with customer prospects to developing rapport and strong relationships with the customer decision makers

  • Experience in detailed requirements discovery and business process analysis

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to clearly express a business solution

  • Strong problem solving abilities with the ability to clearly understand a client's business problems and then demonstrate solutions to those problems.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong impact and Influence skills

  • Analytical and financial fluency
