Position Overview:
The Solution Architect III, Security works closely with the Zones sales teams to help grow the profitable sales of infrastructure solutions within a region and/or market. The goal is to help manage the above market growth rate of revenue and gross margins for hardware, software, and services for enterprise products defined as primarily servers, storage, networking, and other advanced technologies.
The Solution Architect's role is one of pre-sales resources to utilize their technical background to lead the consultative discovery of the client/prospect's business goals, objectives, and challenges and to translate them into effective infrastructure solutions. Your ability to achieve sales and profit goals will transpire through joint account planning, partner teaming (internal & external), on-site client interface/visits, engagement/solution development and implementation support/follow-up. The SA plays a leadership role, by analyzing business requirements, presenting related solutions, and driving the business case and financial justifications.
What you'll do as the Solutions Architect III, Security:

The Solutions Architect III, Security is primarily responsible for:
Own the technical relationship with assigned major Enterprise accounts
Responsible for leading customers on analysis of cybersecurity requirements and resulting pre-sales/solution architecture for those customers - both new and existing
Expertise in bid response (managed service outsource deals, defining service elements, building cost models, providing content)
Participate in pre-sales activities including, but not be limited to, conducting Proof of Concepts (PoC), Building BoQ's, supporting in security designs, writing proposals, delivering product specific presentations and training etc.
Provide technical pre-sales support to various entities for the purpose of promoting and selling products/Solutions. Entities include potential customers, existing customers, partners, and resellers.
Engage with customers as a trusted advisor, listening and understanding their challenges and requirements - both technical and business, and clearly articulate and communicate to the sales team, and document them.
Equip and train the Enterprise sales organization on technology solutions and how to hunt for opportunities
Client focused thinking with a strong combination of technical and business relevance, ability to build big-picture vision and to perform deep dive on specific technical topics or seek adequate support.
Thinks out-of-the-box and with good risk analysis skills to analyze and explain the risks involved in using or bypassing proposed solutions & technologies
Recent experience in a cyber-security client facing position (Consulting, Integration, Solution Management, Security Architect)
Reviewing current system security measures and recommending and implementing enhancements
Demonstrate strong business acumen and deep understanding of the client's IT related business goals and challenges to ensure proper translation of the client's needs into technology solutions
Build in-depth knowledge of clients' technical and business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into solutions opportunities
Build value-added relationships within the domain of the account to become the trusted advisor
Prepare statements of work (SOW's) and advanced technology service estimates
Ensure effective coordination and support between account teams and supporting technical resources
What you will bring to the team:
BA/BS degree in Electrical Telecommunication Engineering/Eng/Related required
5+ years in a pre-sales technical role
10+ years of progressive, post baccalaureate work experience
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
Understanding of the industry, market, customers, competitors, suppliers, partners, and capabilities of the business
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management
Professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners, and peers
Consultative problem solver 'Actively listens' Understands the needs and business problems in order to uncover potential value points of offering
Can multi-task, prioritize, and juggle to serve multiple clients during same time frame
Demonstrates a high level of responsiveness to the customer to enlist trust and build credibility
Strong interpersonal, teaming, leadership, creativity, influencing, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills required
Ability to travel an average of 25% of the time
Technology Focus & Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in IT with an emphasis on Enterprise Security Services
Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design, plan, and support deployment efforts around IT security solutions using one or more of the following technologies:
Network Security
End Point & Mobile Security
Virtualization Security
Identity & Access management
Security Management and Operations
Encryption & VPN
Application Security (including web/cloud and database)
Anti-Malware Solutions
Web & Email Gateways
Certifications
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $180,000 - $200,000 + bonus.
Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years in Cloud Solutions Architecture, with a strong emphasis on AI, DevOps, and Data Analytics.
