The Merchant Product organization is a team of experienced product leaders that builds on the DoorDash vision of connecting local delivery networks in cities all across the world. Within this organization, the Business Applications team executes major initiatives to drive internal efficiency, strategically enables sales and services to exceed objectives, and manages the technical builds to meet these goals. It's a pivotal time to join the Business Application team as we are the backbone of helping DoorDash scale. About the Role

As a Solutions Architect in the Business Applications team, you will be responsible for the overall design of our sales and service technology solution within Doordash's enterprise business application ecosystem.

We are seeking a talented Solutions Architect with extensive experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) to lead the design and implementation of complex solutions. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a strategic role in architecting scalable and innovative solutions that optimize Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ functionalities to drive business growth and efficiency.

This candidate will closely partner with our business transformation team to design all facets of our application built on Salesforce.com and associate applications, from concept to implementation.

  • Collaborate closely with business system analysts and stakeholders to validate and uncover new business requirements

  • Translate business requirements into an executable solution that fits our overall strategy and architecture

  • Design a scalable and sustainable solution with our technical leaders while leveraging the latest innovations by providing detailed design documentation, proofs-of-concept, and prototypes

  • Map out and align solutions to a technology roadmap that falls within our strategic objectives

  • Recognize and weave common objectives among different initiatives into one vision

  • Drive consensus amongst stakeholders, and own the reporting and resolving of risks and issues relating to operational stability and key initiative delivery.

  • Map out and maintain our application architecture, data architecture, and journey maps of our application experience

  • Work closely with a team of managers, admins, and developers to realize your solution

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives related to Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ.

  • Architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions that leverage Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ capabilities to address business needs and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Lead the design and implementation of customizations, configurations, and integrations within the Salesforce platform to support Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ functionalities.

  • Develop comprehensive solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications to guide the development team.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers and administrators throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.

  • Drive the evaluation and selection of third-party applications and tools to complement Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ functionalities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between Salesforce solutions and business processes.

  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, releases, and emerging technologies related to Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ, and recommend best practices and innovative solutions.

We're excited about you because...

  • 10+ years of experience working with the Salesforce platform

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect designing and implementing Salesforce solutions, with a focus on Sales Cloud, Marketing, and CPQ.

  • Strong understanding of the overall Salesforce platform and its various product lines

  • Deep knowledge in applying both Salesforce declarative and programmatic development capabilities (General Administration, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, API Integrations, SOQL/SOSL, and Javascript)

  • Experience in designing, developing, and supporting Salesforce.com implementations in a large enterprise environment

  • Strong understanding of software development (agile), common adjacent systems, and infrastructure

  • Analytically strong with A+ written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Able to manage multiple Salesforce initiatives simultaneously

  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud features such as lead management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Marketing Automation platforms, including campaign management and customer journey mapping.

  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) capabilities and configurations, including product catalog setup, pricing rules, and quoting processes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and proactive approach to driving results.

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
