About the Role

Dialpad is actively looking for a technically savvy Solution Architect to join our Professional Services organization. In this role, you will work closely with Dialpad's internal and external stakeholders in facilitating successful implementations of all Dialpad products. You will act as subject matter expert, provide consulting and guidance on technical solutions, and ultimately deliver a world-class experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders on translating customer business requirements into workable, technical solutions on the Dialpad platform.

  • Design and implement application-level configurations in the Dialpad platform such as Voice, Video or Contact Center services.

  • Regularly communicate project updates, progress, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to internal processes improvements (collateral development, knowledge management)

  • Provide support across multiple concurrent complex provisioning projects.

  • Ensure customers receive end user training to help increase product adoption; Provide occasional pre-sales support (as needed).

Technical Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of various modern cloud communications platforms such as Google G-Suite and Office 365

  • Experience with Business VoIP Telephony Services (On-Premise or SaaS)

  • Deep understanding and experience with the following VoIP CODECs and technologies (G.711, G.729, G.722, OPUS, H.264, VP8, VP9, WebRTC, H.323, SIP, Network Analyzers)

  • Strong understanding and experience with:

  • Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, Routers, Switches & Wireless); WAN Technologies (MPLS, VPLS & SD-WAN)

  • Data Center Technologies (Public & Private Clouds)

  • Software components involved in enterprise service delivery (web servers, application servers, databases, web services, mainframes, network attached storage and other related technologies)

Non-Technical Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Unified Communications including, but not limited to, VoIP, Dial Plans, Device Configuration, PBX integration and Contact Center

  • Very strong documentation skills

  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally

  • The appetite to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth company

  • Bachelor's Degree

What You'll Do: The Solutions Architect (SA) supports the Professional Services (PS) mission of helping customers adopt and extend LogicMonitor. The SA is responsible for working with pre-sales and post-sales teams to scope, design and deploy technical solutions and implementations for LogicMonitor's customers. The SA is a product expert that creatively solves business problems with LogicMonitor's best-in-class IT monitoring platform, impacting the company's largest, most strategic customers. Here's a closer look at this key role: * Regularly interact with LogicMonitor prospects and customers to scope custom implementations, integrations and solutions * Assess feasibility and approach for monitoring use cases and integration opportunities * Clearly articulate the impact, value and effort of technical proposals to technical and non-technical audiences * Explore and research new technologies to integrate and monitor with LogicMonitor * Build estimates for services proposals, including hours effort, timeframe and pricing * Work with Sales and CS to develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) * Work collaboratively with the Solutions Architecture team to peer review services proposals * Regularly perform post-sales discovery and design of custom solutions with customers (requirements gathering, researching, prototyping and design documentation) * Work collaboratively with the Project Management and Solutions Engineering teams to guide post-sales services delivery, aligning project team to SOW deliverables, scope of engagement, and technical escalations (where necessary) * Assist Solutions Engineers with deployment of tasks and solutions during PS engagements * Assist and inform internal initiatives to expand, improve or optimize pre-packaged Professional Services and standard operation procedures (SOPs) * Regularly stay informed on product updates and consult other SAs on services approach for new LogicMonitor platform features and enhancements * Regularly evaluate, create or maintain methods for automating and enhancing services delivery: new internal tool discovery, developing reusable solution prototypes/templates, enhancing Python/PowerShell/Groovy automation script repositories * Periodically present advanced LogicMonitor use cases, scenarios and prototypes to technical peers What You'll Need: * 5+ years experience in architecting, engineering, administering and/or supporting one or more domains of IT infrastructure: Windows/Linux server, networking, security, storage, virtualization, cloud * Experience in one or more programming language: Python, PowerShell, Java or Groovy * Experience with REST or SOAP APIs: HTTP, JSON, XML, regular expressions * Experience in a customer-facing, professional services or consulting role * Willingness to travel (10-20%) Logicmonitor Austin TX
