Crestron is looking for a talented and self-motivated System Architect to provide expertise in the field of software architecture at Crestron. The ideal candidate is a great communicator with strong leadership skills. This is a hands-on position and candidate must have extensive experience in creating protocol specifications.


  • Collaborate with Cloud, Firmware and Application teams to define models for device and service communications

  • Evangelize modular and reusable architecture

  • Provide expertise in the field of software architecture

  • Work closely with and provide leadership to other developers to solve design issues

  • Provide technical documentation, including but not limited to test procedures, design specifications, etc

  • Special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 20 years of experience in software development.

  • Minimum of 5 6 years of experience as a team leader.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented development principles

  • Proficient analytical skills to resolve complex problems

  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced interactive development environment

  • Hands on experience with C# or Java as well as standard protocols including REST, SNMP, JSON-RPC, XML

  • Excellent leadership and negotiation abilities.

  • Highly driven, self-motivated and with excellent verbal and writing skills.

The Principal Solutions Architect will work across the SD Engineering organization; Cloud, Network, AppDev and Client, as well as, external technology teams including BI, Data Science and Internal Applications teams. This role will be tasked with assessing the current state of the IT organizations technology baseline and collaborating with technology teams to expedite the pivot to our modernized technology vision, which will enable Service Delivery to better serve our business and IT partners increasing need for speed and optimization of technology services. This role will be highly visible and requires an ability to communicate at many levels from staff to C-Suite executives; from gathering information to articulating technical solutions and strategies. The Principal Solutions Architect should have a wide breadth and depth of exposure, knowledge and experience with several of the following areas: Cloud Technologies, Full Stack and Microservices, OSI Layers, Dev Ops & CI/CD, Automation and general concepts of infrastructure, networking, client and core systems and application development. Hands on experience with both vendor and open source technologies is expected. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Will interface directly with the management of the Service Delivery teams (Directors, VP's) including Operations, Customer Engagement and Service Management to ensure that the operational impacts of complex solutions are adequately visible to downstream organizations. * Will take input from direct management and Process Governance Board for customer project priorities to ensure efforts are in line with objectives and goals of the organization. * Defines the technology roadmaps and reference architectures for the IT Service Delivery organization * Define and design systems, applications, and infrastructure to help drive the Altice USA IT technology vision * Performs high-level and mid-level designs and prototyping of new ideas/designs * Stay current with evolving technologies and infrastructure concepts. * Lead and/or participates in the business objective and process analysis with business units and technology partners * Leads and or advises on complex detailed design and programming. * Responsibilities may include oversight of quality of technology designs and solutions proposals * Ensure implementation follows architectural and development standards and objectives. * Writes required documents (Reference Architecture, Technical Design documents, API specs, etc.). * Analyzes the user and software requirements and communicates as required with the customer team. * Other relevant and related duties as may be assigned.
