Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Manager in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Oversee the delivery and deployment of customized applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, performance testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment. Handle daily interactions with executive clients and sponsors.

Deliver components of client engagements that identify, design and implement technical solutions for large companies. Supervise teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training and defining support procedures. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients, organize pursuit teams, participate in aspects of the proposal development process, and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.

Responsible for the full system development life cycle implementation and all phases of new service development. Conduct current state business process analysis, mapping and design. Guide conceptual and technical designs including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques.

Manage software application development, enhancement, maintenance and support by gathering requirements analysis, high-level and low-level design, build and testing, release and implementation and post production support using tools including Confluence, Service Manager, Dimensions. Estimate the project size by understanding the scope of requirements and effort estimation. Assess software and delivery risks using project plans.

Analyze project requirements and writing software technical specification documents. Develop programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2 to address the business needs of the client's applications, including developing Change Man ZMF packages to build, checkout, stage and promote packaging requiring code changes. Oversee all phases of SDLC and assisting in identifying opportunities for automation and software application performance improvement initiatives by using mainframes tools and utilities including REXX. Utilize IBM Fault Analyzer, Xpeditor, Mainframe jobs and utilities, and CA-Intertest to implement extensive unit, integration, system and user acceptance testing of software code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, MIS, CIS or a related field.

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience as a Solution Manager, a Project Manager, a Module Leader, or in a related occupation.

  • Must have five years of experience with:

  • Managing software application development, enhancement, maintenance and support by gathering requirements analysis, high-level and low-level design, build and testing, release and implementation and post production support using tools including Confluence, Service Manager, Dimensions;

  • Estimating the project size by understanding the scope of requirements and effort estimation;

  • Assessing software and delivery risks using project plans;

  • 80% travel required.
