Solution Engineering Manager

SAIC has an opening for a Solutions Engineering Manager. This position may be remote anywhere in the US for the right candidate. The Solution Engineering Manager, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Automations, is responsible for leading a dynamic team that designs and implements innovative software solutions to drive business outcomes. This leadership role is at the forefront of adopting AI and automation technologies to enhance productivity, accelerate SDLC processes, and deliver superior software products. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who has a deep understanding of AI technologies, agile methodologies, and automation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a team of solution engineers and AI specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for integrating AI and automation technologies into the software development lifecycle, enhancing capabilities, efficiency, and product quality.

• Oversee the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver measurable outcomes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging AI and automation to solve complex business challenges.

• Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and automation tools within the team and across development projects to streamline processes and accelerate delivery.

• Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and industry trends, evaluating and adopting new tools and practices to maintain competitive advantage.

• Ensure the implementation of best practices in code quality, security, and compliance within AI and automation projects.

• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and the timely delivery of projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field and 9 years of experience, or a Master's and 7 years of experience, or a PhD or JD and 4 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Proven experience in a leadership role with a focus on software engineering, AI, and automation.

• Demonstrated expertise in AI technologies and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow), and experience in applying AI to solve real-world problems.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience implementing agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with automation tools and platforms (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform) to improve efficiency and quality of software development.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate business challenges into technology solutions.

• Outstanding leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing engineering teams.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
