About The Position

As a Commercial Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial technical role in supporting our sales teams and customers. This position is ideal for hard-working, sharp, and humble individuals with proven technical customer-facing experience who are eager to develop deep technical skills and become masters in the dynamic field of observability.

In this role, you will be a key technical interface between our sales team and our customers, helping to translate complex product capabilities into tangible business benefits. This position directly contributes to the strategic goals of expanding our market share and enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring our solutions are optimally aligned with customer needs.

Industry Expertise

Engineering/DevOps Advantage: Candidates with a background in engineering or DevOps are particularly desirable as they bring a practical understanding of software development life cycles, automation, and infrastructure management. Such expertise will be crucial in comprehensively addressing and anticipating the technical challenges faced by our customers.

Technical Expertise

Technological Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry is highly valued.

Hands-On Experience: Candidates should have hands-on experience and a strong capacity to quickly learn and integrate these technologies into customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

Support Sales Initiatives: Assist account executives in understanding customer technical requirements and challenges.

Deliver Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations that effectively showcase the advanced functionalities and value of our solutions.

Technical Support in Sales Process: Oversee the technical aspects of the sales process, including sizing, discovery sessions, and initial Proof of Concepts.

Learn and Develop Solutions: Master our core products and become adept at customizing our solutions for customer needs.

Market Mastery: Develop a comprehensive mastery of the Observability market and provide expert advice to customers on the most appropriate and effective solutions for their needs.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years in a customer-facing role such as technical support, solutions engineer, DevOps engineer, or professional services engineer.

Personal Qualities: Seeking hard-working, sharp, and humble professionals who are dedicated to achieving mastery in their technical and professional skills.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with coding in high-level programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python) is preferred.

Educational Background

Degree Required: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
