The Motor Control Center (MCC) Solution Consultant is responsible for planning and implementing effective sales activities in a specific geographic area for products offered by the Packaged Control Products and Medium Voltage businesses (hereafter collectively referred to as MCC products). Major activities include managing and creating product proposals for maximized profits and market share, entering and managing orders, providing technical sales assistance, planning and coordinating/implementing product promotions, training sales and distributor representatives, and creating sales plans.
Both a technical and commercial "expert" for internal and external customers
Interprets customer specifications, provides bid packages and assembles proposals, including bundled or cross B.U., based on customer requirements.
Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, voicing customer needs, and visits customers where appropriate
Assists with customer support and issue resolution
Analyzes competitive products, and develops competitive comparisons
Develops training materials and product positioning.
Stays current on industry trends and changing market and/or regulatory requirements, and competitive products relative to assigned product lines.
Supports distributors including application support, customer specification, order entry, and training/competency support.
Participates on projects to enhance technical understanding, influence evolution of products/solutions, and/or process or productivity improvements.
Liaison to ETO business units and negotiates pricing with B.U., and distributor.
Position is focused on supporting and driving growth in the water/wastewater industry.
