Work you'll do

As a Specialist Leader within our Analytics team, you will:

  • Organize and delivers services on a cross-section of complex projects

  • Contribute to the development and cultivation of business and vendor relationships

  • As a technical or functional advisor, work extensively with the management of the project to guide efforts that address the client's needs

  • Drive the conceptual and detailed design of enterprise scale analytics capabilities

  • Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding interpretive value to data presented or experienced insight into a functional process or issue

  • Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions

  • Identify opportunities for other Deloitte service offerings that can address client needs

  • Responsible for managing solutions, delegating resources, and helping to ensure quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables

  • Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff

  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process

  • Contribute to business development initiatives to grow our practice

  • Manage resources on client projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other business-related field

  • 10+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • 8+ years in a technical or functional lead role

  • Experience mentoring and coaching others

  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships

  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)

  • Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience

  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Security Clearance for this role

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building tools to explore and analyze graph data, distributed over dozens of nodes in a cloud-based cluster

  • Develop and deploy in the cloud

  • Develop machine learning pipelines and put your models into production

  • Create custom user interfaces that enable end users to interact with billions of records

  • Create Spark Streaming jobs capable of processing millions of transactions a day

  • Learn and practice the intersection between software solutions and management consulting, helping a wide range of Federal and commercial clients prepare for the future

  • Experience managing a group of developers in Java, Python or Javascript

  • Interest in and aptitude for analyzing graph or network data

  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems

  • Experience working in a cloud based environment, such as the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or the Amazon Cloud and using languages such as Jupyter and TensorFlow

  • Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in Spark, Titan, Neo4J or other graph databases, Kafka, distributed systems or interactive JavaScript.

Intermediate to advanced skills in building, maintaining and enhancing Excel-based data tools, workbooks or data models is a necessity.
