The Solution Architect -- Hadoop will lead the design and development of API's and full applications for the Customer Information and Analytics organization, in support of various business demands across Ally. Integration applications are based on microservices architecture built on top of a big data platform and deployed on private cloud or data center environments.

12+ years in Software engineering - planning, design, development, test with at least 4 years in a big data environment
Demonstrated technical leadership of high-performance cross-functional engineers.
Hands-on with essential skills and technologies (see below)
Proficiency in Hadoop, Cloudera preferred
Experience developing complex solutions and integration projects
Experience with big data workflows
Knowledgeable in areas of microservices design patterns, enterprise integration patterns, domain driven design
Experience in Financial Services
Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders
Documentation of complex concepts in easy to understand way
Design modeling using BPMN, UML or similar notations
Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, SAFe, etc)
Big Data Hadoop platform experience (Cloudera is preferred)
Java, Apache Camel, Spring, Spark, Kafka
REST API development, API management, API testing
