What We Need:

This position will provide the overall solution architecture / design for implementation of the Claims Value Stream solutions. They will ensure that the design is consistent with the overall architecture of the enterprise and assist with detail system design to a point where implementation can proceed. The Solution Architect will work under the guidance of a lead Architect and is a trusted advisor to both internal and external partners serving the BCBSMA Claims Solutions ecosystem. The Solution Architect works directly with both technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze information, and craft comprehensive solutions.

This role is eligible for our Flex persona.

Your Day to Day

• Provides overall Architecture/Design for implementation of solutions on multiple projects or one large complex project under the leadership of a lead Architect.

• Create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements.

• Leads or participates in business and functional requirements definition and prioritization/scoping of requirements and sizing of projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional team (strategy/planning, architecture, business operations and enterprise technology delivery) to determine how best to implement solutions.

• Accountable for contributing to the successful delivery and quality of technology solutions by driving difficult conversations and removing roadblocks.

• Architect and deliver a robust data model that supports the requirements.

We're Looking for:

• 8 -10 years' overall Solutions Architecture experience

• Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white board discussion or delivering a technical presentation.

• Provides overall solution architecture / design leadership for implementation of solutions on multiple projects or one large/complex project.

• Ensures that the design is consistent with the overall architecture.

• Accountable for contributing to the successful delivery and quality of technology solutions.

• Assists with detail system design to a point where implementation can proceed.

• Identifies and documents architecturally significant aspects/views of the systems.

• Ensures consistent use of software engineering methodology.

What You Bring:

• Healthcare industry experience, preferably payer.

• Experienced with healthcare payer claims systems that involve large data integration and data migration activities as part of project scope.

• Strong ability in documenting proposed current and future state in terms of solution architecture, functional/technical specifications, data integration and data migration solution design.

Salary Range: $143,500.00 - $189,750.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
