The Implementation Architect is responsible for the end-to-end solution design and provides technical oversight through the implementation to transition into production for existing large clients and new logos. This role is responsible for estimating, designing, implementing and/or managing change to database solutions - working with external Acxiom clients to gather and translate customer requirements into solutions, through architecture and design artifacts. The architect provides technical leadership to the implementation and/or account support teams ensuring we have strong solution management procedures to meet client service levels and ensure the quality of the services we deliver.
What you will do:
Consult with Client, Sales and Sales Support with emphasis on solution design, scope and estimation to deliver database solutions. Ensure overall solution being scoped focuses on client value and satisfaction while balancing corporate objectives, feasibility and scalability of solution.
Identify client's business needs and engage in most efficient method for solution implementation.
Provide direction with technical and business stakeholder on requirements and overall project plan as it relates to the solution.
Provide input into risk mitigation assessment.
Transform customer requirements information into logical process flows, taking into account cost, portability, compatibility, and usability as well as Acxiom corporate initiatives.
Create detailed design specifications from high level design and business requirements.
Ensure database solution design fulfills functional and technical requirements and can consistently meet progress against service level agreements (SLAs).
Perform impact analysis to evaluate impact of changes to existing systems.
Accountable for the accuracy, process, integrity, quality, and stewardship of client solution.
Educate internal Acxiom associates and external clients on the solution, tech stack, capabilities, constraints, support levels, and services at the appropriate technical granularity.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the most complex technical solution support issues.
Utilize standard tools and methodologies to promote consistency and drive adherence to standards within designated teams.
Identify areas of process improvement that drive profit enhancement and client value and instill that mindset while contributing through others.
Work with internal product teams to provide feedback to the appropriate lines of business or product team to ensure Acxiom produces and/or enhances products that can meet the everchanging business needs of our clients.
Maintain subject matter expertise in Acxiom and industry technologies, verticals and lines of business to help align client business needs to products, solutions and services offered. Document and share best practices and case studies.
What you will need:
4 years' experience large-scale database design and change management procedures.
3 years' experience in database marketing, direct marketing or interactive marketing environments
3 years' working in an external client facing environment.
Scripting Language Experience (Perl, Shell)
Extensive Database Experience using SQL
Unix / Linux Experience (Cron, editing, SSH/FTP)
Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
Ability to effectively manage change
Aptitude for debugging problems in complex, unfamiliar code
Demonstrated experience with database design creation, elicitation, and planning.
Proven track record of ability to exhibit and demonstrate leadership while working with multiple teams across the organization.
The associate is expected to be fully functional, self-directed and able to lead the technical side of a client opportunity.
Ability to interface with high-level client stakeholders and communicate effectively, recognizing that each group demands a different level of communication / presentation skills.
Demonstrate the ability to take detailed, highly technical concepts and present to client in a high-level, non-technical fashion.
Ability to effectively communicate the business benefits of a technical solution in conjunction with the Acxiom sales and sales support teams.
Ability to remove roadblocks to design a viable solution while maintaining integrity of functional standards.
Must be able to travel. 15-20%
