What you will be doing:

Lumere Solution Advisors are responsible for ensuring that Lumere's clients, health systems, are successful in reducing unnecessary variation in care and cost. Specifically, as a Solution Advisor for Lumere's medical device solutions, you will build and lead Lumere's support model and provide expert guidance to clients that enables them to make financially-impactful, clinically-informed decisions about medical device selection and introduction using Lumere's research and workflow tools.

The successful candidate will be an experienced consultant to hospital strategic sourcing or value analysis teams teams (or a forward-thinking strategic sourcing or value analysis leader) who has a track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder service line and supply chain initiatives. This person is passionate about tackling difficult problems in healthcare and is excited by the ambiguity and opportunity that comes with working in a dynamic, fast-growing technology company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own development and execution of the client support model for Lumere's Product Introduction Management, Category Optimization, or Variation Management solutions

  • Apply your expertise in medical device value analysis and/or strategic sourcing to identify clients' support needs

  • Build and manage the execution of a standardized support model that complements Lumere's software products

  • Serve as a trusted, expert advisor to ensure clients are realizing full value from Lumere's solutions by understanding pain points and developing a path for each to realize value

  • Serve as a coordinator of people resources within Lumere to ensure clients' needs are being met

  • Develop scalable content resources as needed (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, best practice recommendations, other guides and tools for the client)

  • Work with internal operational leaders to determine how we will quantify and measure value delivered to our clients

  • Scale your expertise by hiring and managing a team of Solutions Associates

  • Partner directly with Product Managers to translate customers' needs to our product roadmap

  • Provide feedback on the product pipeline based on client feedback and your expertise in medical device supply chain processes and clinician engagement best practices

  • Serve as liaison between the Product team and client-facing employees to build coordinated roll-out plans for product updates and launches

  • Adapt support model based on new product features

  • Contribute to marketing strategy and content production

  • Advise on marketing campaign themes and strategy using knowledge of health system priorities and challenges

  • Develop content (whitepapers, blog posts, videos) for current and prospective clients (~1 per quarter)

  • Attend conferences to bolster Lumere's market presence and stay informed of industry best practices (1-2 per year)


  • 5-7 years experience as an external consultant or hospital-based leader for value analysis and/or strategic sourcing with expertise in forward-thinking best practices (consulting experience preferred)

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to quickly identify underlying drivers of problems, quickly develop hypotheses, and execute on a path to solve

  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate complicated ideas to senior leaders in health system

Position Responsibilities: * Articulate medical device cybersecurity risk for business and clinical purposes * Review, analyze, and report on emerging technologies and their effect on the cybersecurity posture of Medical Devices * Contribute development of a content into risk registry * Review, analyze, and report on emerging technologies and their effect on the cybersecurity posture of Medical Devices * Develop cybersecurity requirements for various medical devices * Evaluate medical device manufacturers cybersecurity questionnaire for accuracy and completion * Maintain and oversee the security posture of the medical device environment * Support Vendor Management and Clinical Engineering teams for all cybersecurity related requests * Provide cybersecurity design recommendations and assist in managing security implementations for various products and technologies. * Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert for various projects. * Evaluate and recommend products and systems in key technology areas. * Work cooperatively with technical and medical personnel in other functions to accomplish enterprise-wide goals. * Identify and implement process improvements in the architecture and/or infrastructure of existing systems in the area of cybersecurity * Remain up to date on new and emerging technologies within the area of security technical expertise and serves as resource to organizations initiatives concerning BIO-Medical devices * Ability to understand and assist in evolution and/or integration of Company applications. Position Qualifications Include: * Bachelors' Degree in a STEM field * 5+ in an IT Engineer role * 5+ in as a Medical Device Security Engineer role or similar Cyber Security role preferred * Either ISC2, SANS, EC-Council or vendor specific certifications attesting to security expertise highly preferred * Experience designing technical security control solutions to address cybersecurity requirements for products and services. * Experience in the following: computer architecture, operating systems, embedded systems design, inter and inner process communications, networking protocols and their related implementations. * Exceptional understanding of NIST 800 series, particularly NIST SP 1800-8, NIST CSF * Good Understanding of health related regulatory requirements as it pertains to technology. (i.e. HIPAA) * Experience with and understanding of compiled and interpreted programs and the types of security issues possible in each; database systems, web servers, application servers, firewalls, routers, load balancers, switches, and different types of middleware.. * Operating Systems security controls including Windows, AIX, Linux, and others * Built-in security functions and services of application infrastructure components: Oracle, DB2/UDB, MS IIS, MS SQL, IBM WebSphere, MS Active Directory, or others. * Cryptography and Encryption protocols and implementations * Application Authentication & Authorization systems and services * General knowledge of application security API's and protocols: MS CryptoAPI, PAM, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, SAML, PKCS API's, or others * Excellent Understanding in Network Security, particularly wireless Security.
