Belden is seeking a Solution Account Manager (SAM), Federal to join our growing team. The SAM will focus on establishing and maintaining strategic accounts within the Federal vertical. The SAM is responsible for identifying and developing high potential targets whose business aligns to Belden's go to market strategy or to our Global Smart Building Solutions Commercial Plan. The Solution Account Manager is responsible to coordinating all aspects of proposing and delivering favorable customer outcomes to target clients with their region or target account base.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling infrastructure solutions for wired and wireless Federal accounts to high-level management and other decision-makers

  • Consistent track record of sales, account and revenue development within the network cabling industry, and in-depth sales experience within a channel sales environment

  • Engage Field Sales Team when appropriate to develop an effective Channel Strategy incorporating Contractors, Integrators, Consultants or Supply Chain Partners

  • Responsible for expansion of business within Target Accounts, focusing on bringing the full Belden product line to provide solutions for our customers

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Line Management to maximize volume, mix & margin

  • Serve as a key member within the Enterprise Sales Team, contributing to strategic direction, program development and customer relationship within targets.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5 or more years of Relevant Sales and Technical Experience in similar or adjacent markets

  • A firm understanding of the federal sales cycle

  • This person will be able to demonstrate capability in presenting products to customers, a solid grasp of large channel organizations and integrated solution-selling, and be comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams

  • Experience speaking to C Suite Executives

  • Ability/willingness to travel up to 50%

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $100,000 - $150,000 annually and a Sales Incentive Plan, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
