As a SOLIDWORKS Product Definition (PD) Intern, you will work closely with a small team to define the road map for new and upcoming SOLIDWORKS projects specifically related to the fields of product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM).
This is a paid internship from May February 2020. You will work in the Dassault Systemes Americas Headquarters located on 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, MA.

What your role will be...
You'll be involved in researching and defining workflows between SOLIDWORKS PDM and PLM systems
You will work with a mentor from our team who will act as a guide for the required tasks. Our entire team is very helpful and at the disposal of the intern to help answer all questions.
Your Challenges ahead
Understanding key principles and requirements in PDM and PLM systems
Researching and defining workflows for use of markup in different products.
Researching and defining workflows between SOLIDWORKS PDM and PLM systems.
Working with development to prototype different ideas for a connector between SOLIDWORKS PDM and PLM systems
Researching and defining workflows for ease of migration to PDM from other systems
Documenting your findings and strategy in our knowledgebase
Your Key Success Factors
A rising Senior, Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or a Graduate student pursuing a Master's, Degree in Mechanical, Plastics or Electrical Engineering for the duration of the internship.
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 /4.0 scale
Works onsite in the Waltham office
Well-developed skills in MS Office--Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with 3D modeling, SOLIDWORKS preferred and data management a plus
Possesses polished interpersonal skills, strong self-motivation and maturity
Highly organized person with strong attention to detail and strong motivation
Strong command of English, both oral and written
