Job Description:

Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per

controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform wiring and soldering, including rework, wire bonding, precise application, and

soldering under a microscope.

  • Read, interpret and follow blueprints, PD's, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

  • Utilize various hand held tools such tweezers, soldering stand, or wire cutters

  • Perform quality verification test in accordance with assembly instructions

  • Maintain inventory of product in work stations

  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Work well alone with limited overseeing

Qualification requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1-2 years Soldering experience

  • IPC-610 or J-STD certification would increase experience level and pay rate

  • Basic reading skills, must be able to follow assembly directions

  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea

  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

  • Able to multi task with speed and accuracy

  • Willingness to learn

  • Good attendance / dependable

Physical demands and abilities:

  • Manual dexterity

  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks

  • Able to sit for 8 hours

  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

  • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,

depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Production Associates must be able to followestablished methods and procedures to ensure these tasks are completed asdirected by manufacturing schedules with limited supervision.
