Solder Assembler

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

The Rework Operator shall have experience in reworking PCBAs, involving but not limited to the replacement or re-soldering of BGAs, QFN's, QFP's and various through hole components. The Operator shall be skilled in using the BGA replacement stations, solder fountain, soldering stations, X-ray machine and scopes to perform the rework. The rework operator shall have experience in final assembly and system integration.

You are responsible for:

• Perform and support rework processes for production, engineering evals and RMAs using the appropriated BGA and other PCBA rework equipment.

• Identify and order replacement parts from stockroom.

• Use manufacturing data systems such as Agile, Oracle and Aegis.

• Perform inspection after rework using inspection equipment such as microscope or x-ray.

• Set up and support rework machine operations and daily maintenance.

• Adhere to safety regulations when performing and using rework equipment.

• Order custom tooling for equipment i.e., mini stencils, support fixtures, nozzles…

• Perform other duties as required to assist process engineering.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience performing BGA and other similar components PCBA rework.

• Skilled in using BGA and other PCBA rework/inspection equivalent to equipment such as Air Vac DRS25, AirVac solder fountain and Dage x-ray.

• Basic knowledge in solder paste and flux chemicals

• Basic knowledge in reading assembly documentation, component specifications and BOM's

• Knowledge and experience in ESD, J-STD-001, J-STD-033 and IPC-A-610 quality standards. IPC and J-STD active certification preferred.

• Experience in reflow profiling per component and alloy specifications using thermal couples.

• Working knowledge in computer and data entry
