Position Summary

We are looking for an IT Security Engineer to support our collaborative R&D teams in the development of secure state-of-the-art solutions for environmental monitoring! Our product portfolio includes smart sensors, dataloggers, communication devices and server software to receive, store and process the environmental data. Your responsibility is to ensure that communication between these components is performed in a secure way, that sensitive data are stored securely and that access to these components is protected by proper mechanisms. The focus for this position is on the smart sensors and embedded devices like the dataloggers.

Essential Functions

  • Develop security concepts/architectural design for new products and support R&D teams in implementation

  • Ensure adherence to IT security best practices, industry standards, and corporate policies and procedures

  • Use threat modelling to identify and classify security risks and define concepts for risk mitigation

  • Support QA in defining and executing security related validation tests

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to discover security vulnerabilities in existing products

  • Monitor common vulnerabilities and exposures and support R&D in fixing them

  • Support tender team in creating project specific security concepts

  • Act as a champion for internal secure code training Program and corporate security council

Education, Background and Skill Requirements

  • 5+years experience in software development (preferred C, C++) with specialization on IT security or 5+years experience as IT security engineer

  • BS/MS in Computer Science / Electronics / Mathematics / Physics or equivalent

  • Strong interest and knowledge of security technologies and trends

  • Experience with secure Internet protocols (TLS, IPSec)

  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems is a plus

  • Experience with industry cyber security standards like IEC 62433

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools

  • CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification is a plus

  • Must have working experience with secure protocols SSL, SSH, PKI etc.

  • Must have working experience of government standards such as GDPR, NIST etc.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

The salary range for this role is 92K - 127K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
