Senior UX Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled User Experience Designer with a strong focus on visual design to join our growing team of UX practitioners. In collaboration with UX designers and researchers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders, you will define the experience of our Automated Test Equipment software. You will help establish the culture, standards, processes, and best practices for design at Teradyne.

Key Responsibilities

• Design usable, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing desktop interfaces to address user needs.

• Identify opportunities to radically improve user productivity.

• Define a consistent visual language for reuse across products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design and development process.

• Develop a shared understanding of user goals and workflows as well as business goals with business and technology stakeholders.

• Apply user-centered design processes that incorporate data, user insights, and continuous feedback.

• Develop and communicate design ideas through wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and other design deliverables.

• Stay up to date with UX trends and seek inspiration from a broad range of domains.

• Strong visual design and information hierarchy skills

• Ability to distill complex concepts into design ideas and requirements

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders verbally and in writing

• Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks

• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills

• Knowledge of desktop application design patterns and experience applying them preferable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, Graphic Design, a related design discipline OR equivalent experience

• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work

• Background working in a complex design space (e.g., products for test engineers) preferable
