Roles and Responsibilities:

Plans, develops, and coordinates product training programs for customers. Obtains information needed to prepare training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. The candidate should be able to handle multiple tasks and interact effectively with team members and collaborators.

  • Quickly learn the multiple applications

  • Develop and deliver quality training to all of the CDC centers, divisions and branches users for multiple applications

  • Develop Automated Training Modules (ATM), presentations and exercises

  • Develop end user reference materials (i.e., user guides, FAQs, brochures, training aids and quick reference materials)

  • Develop Web-based, interactive, self-pace instructional tools

  • Provides structured training to internal CDC staff on software applications

  • Conduct online and onsite classroom training sessions for groups of 1 to 40

  • Works with Project Managers to schedule and plan for training

  • Creates schedules for client trainings

  • Assists with setting up training environments and troubleshooting

  • Works with development team to identify areas where additional training could improve performance

  • Acts as liaison between implementation and development to identify software usability issues

  • Works with user support to identify areas where users need stronger training

  • Meets/works with and assist other technical staff

  • Maintains an exceptionally positive attitude and models this extraordinary behavior always

  • Stays current on the latest technologies and methodologies regarding adult learning

  • Builds rapport with CDC staff while actively influencing events and negotiating differences to achieve goals

  • Demonstrates product expertise

  • Confidently speak his/her mind with the ability and skill to not come across abrasive or confrontational

  • Displays a time sensitive, sense of urgency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

  • Passion for creating learning initiatives

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization including management

  • Academically capable and able to grasp highly technical information

  • Analytical and logical thinking skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science

  • 8 years experience in software training

  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of training tools and methods.

  • Outstanding communication skills (oral and writing).

  • Experience in working in multi-cultural environments.

  • Ability to follow instructions and to work independently.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to follow confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.

  • Practical knowledge of the functions, organization, procedures and mission of the organization to perform the full scope of assignments.

  • Ability to interpret guidelines.

  • Ability to organize work assignments, channel the flow of work through the organization and follow up to ensure completion.

  • Ability to facilitate and record sessions with web meeting tool.

  • Ability to post training information (schedules, materials, FAQs, etc.) on a knowledgebase

  • Strong proficiency in using JIRA to manage tasks, view change requests and submit enhancement requests

  • Basic proficiency in the following: Microsoft Excel, MySQL, MS Access, and Word Press

As the industry expert you will be responsible for helping our customers navigate a new environment. Training could take place at a customer site, web meeting, in the classroom, or on the support lines.
