The Quality Analyst will be responsible for manual and automation testing in an Agile Scrum setting. It is critical that candidates have a thorough understanding of testing web and mobile platforms.

This role will be working with automating regression tests, manual testing and integrating test scripts to Zephyr. Candidates must take the initiative to drive the testing process independently. The role requires excellent communication and coordination skills.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify functional and complete manual test cases to be included in automated testing

Design, Write, and Execute automation test cases for user interface and APIs.

Design, Write, and Execute manual testing on web browsers and mobile devices.

Write and Execute SQL queries to gather test data

Identify, replicate, report, and track issues to closure in an issue tracking system (JIRA).

Execute test automation suites in CI/CD pipelines

Initiate and monitor test automation runs on multiple VMS through Jenkins

Accurately communicate testing status and escalate issues in a timely manner.

Execute smoke tests and regression tests in QA, UAT and production environments to verify code deployments and other system changes.

Accurately assess impact of software defects.

Review requirements, providing feedback on completeness, testability and other risk areas.

Assist in the maintenance of dev/test environments including user accounts, application configuration and build deployments.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

Work Experience

7 years of experience in designing and executing test cases with more than 5 years on web based applications.

5 years of experience writing automation test scripts using Selenium Java Framework for desktop and mobile web-based applications.

Experience using tools like Jenkins, JIRA, IDEs like Eclipse or Intellij Idea.

Must have working experience in Agile/Scrum teams.

Must have experience in building mobile automation frameworks using Appium.

Experience with automating RESTful and SOAP APIs.

Experience in automating tests to run in parallel.

Experience in analyzing results of automation test runs.

Hands on with at least one database and SQL.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Demonstrate a deep understanding of Selenium, Java as well as the ability to produce modular, re-usable code with high quality.

Well versed with version control tools like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.

Demonstrate an understanding of SQL

Must be self-motivated and inquisitive.

Detail-oriented with the ability to achieve deadlines while working effectively within a team environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience

Experience in Wire Mock and Mock management or similar tools for mocking data.

Experience with a Test Management Tool: Zephyr

Experience with testing in the following domains: Web Commerce, ERP / SAP.

Experience with Microsoft Azure

Experience with Cosmos Database

Experience with service-based testing and automation using either Katalon or REST Assured is a PLUS
