  • Hands-on participation in testing and certifying releases

  • Quickly develop product knowledge and apply this knowledge to create effective QA activities

  • Develop, document, and communicate test plan and strategy

  • Communicate test progress and review test results with appropriate teams and team members

  • Provide feedback on requirements completeness and testability

  • Represent team in various project meetings planning, review, estimation, retrospective, etc.

  • Maintain and develop test cases, from change requests to new projects

  • Implement test cases into test automation tools where practical

  • Work with QA team, engineers, developers, architects, systems administrators, DBAs and product managers in solving new and existing technical issues

  • Participate in Project Planning, Design and Code Reviews

  • Measure and verify that software and host environment meet industry standard vulnerability benchmarks

  • Consistently meet project release deadlines

  • Champion in influencing early adoption of change initiatives

  • Inspires collaboration by building relationships with teams and team members, leads by example


Must Haves

  • At least 4 years of software focused test engineering experience

  • Experience validating API responses and performance

  • Solid understanding of test processes and agile development methodologies

  • Experience with full quality management lifecycle for software application development, test and deployment

  • Experience with automation of test cases

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse users and stakeholders across disciplines including remote and offshore teams

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail while maintaining productivity under pressure

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similiar

Strong Pluses

  • Experience with Robot Framework, SOAP UI, Selenium Webdriver, Jmeter, and other load and test automation tools

  • Knowledge of DevOps and configuration management tools such as Jenkins and Puppet

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools

  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira

  • Formal training in testing methodologies

Responsibilities * Collaborate with Blizzard teams to develop test plans, understand risk-based testing, and establish quality goals. * Identify, design, and implement technical solutions increasing test effectiveness and coverage, while reducing the cost of test execution. * Analyze and understand design and source code to establish test hooks and API testing. * Design, implement, modify and utilize test harnesses, automated solutions, and tests. * Create and deliver metrics on quality and risk analysis to business partners. * Analyze test data and results to identify patterns and influence software quality. * Transfer knowledge gained through analysis and technical partners with QA teams. Requirements * Ability to write expert-level code in C# AND C++ required. * 5+ years of experience as a Tester, QA Engineer, SDET, Developer or similar QA Focused role. * 4+ years coding in a professional environment. * Experience in the architecture and creation of automation frameworks, test harnesses and/or QA focused tools * Passion for video games and commitment to quality and sustainable software. * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Pluses * Experience with application lifecycle and test case management software development planning tools. * Experience with enterprise software automation solutions. * Practical experience testing/exercising RESTful APIs and JSON. * Experience testing on multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, console, and mobile. * Fluency in multiple programming languages. * Familiarity with Cloud technologies. * Development of HTTP-Based APIs. * Experience coding on .NET (including 4.5+) or Java is ideal. * Experience with database platforms and concepts (SQL, NoSQL, ACID, CAP) * Experience with game software testing.
