Software Test Engineer - REMOTE

Overview:

• 5+ years of experience

• Eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance

• Python, C++, API experience

Description:

• Develop and maintain sophisticated software applications in Python and C++, with a focus on Linux environments.

• Interpret software architecture documents and hardware ICDs to guide the development of system drivers and inform code implementation and system design.

• Design, implement, and manage databases using SQL; ensure data integrity and performance.

• Conduct thorough unit and system testing to ensure software reliability and performance.

• Collaborate with systems engineers and program leads to ensure software solutions meet project requirements and deadlines.

• Implement asynchronous programming methods to improve scalability and system responsiveness.

• Develop and maintain device drivers, implementing efficient mechanisms for polling hardware status and ensuring compatibility with various hardware components.

• Design and write scalable code that adapts to the addition or removal of hardware components seamlessly.

• Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and adhere to best practices in software development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering (Comp Sci, Comp Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems, Math, Physics, etc.)
