Software Test Engineer

Description:

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Quality Engineer II - Software Configuration Management. This position is responsible for supporting Software quality during product development and implementation of improvements. They will develop, maintain, and deploy Software Quality Plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activities. This position must be able to work independently and provide technical training and mentorship to lower-level engineers, technicians, and inspectors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience • Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge • Experience with Compilers, SW Build tools, C++, Java, Python, or Jenkins • Experience with Quality Standards (ISO, AS9100D) • Experience with Quality tools (Six Sigma tools, statistics) • Experience with Omnify/Empower or other PLM Tools • Experience with GitLab or other Software Version Control Tools, DOORS • ASQ certification desired • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills • Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective action
