Software Technical Manager - Active Secret Clearance - Binghamton, NY - 9/80 Schedule - Direct Placement

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Technical Manager to support a classified program for the Department of Defense. The Software Technical Manager will be leading a team of three engineers & managing the infrastructure, technical delivery, and entire SDLC from design to testing. All projects are related to aircraft simulation. This opportunity will be located in Binghamton, NY and the ideal candidate must be on-site, working a 9/80 schedule.

This opportunity requires a Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that level of clearance for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities for the Software Technical Manager includes:

• Enable programs to efficiently build simulation software solutions, support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, alterations, security, and updating of simulation components and development support systems

• Collaborate with the operations and production release teams to create and implement dependable, well-packaged builds for both internal and external clients

• Design and record development system topologies and architectures in collaboration with other team members for use in general and simulation-specific applications

• Constructing servers, virtual laboratories, generalizing tools to support many languages and architectures, dealing with complicated configuration settings, and making sure that processes and tools grow to meet the changing requirements of our varied teams

Qualifications of the Software Technical Manager includes:

• 8+ years of experience as a leader, developer, or technologist

• Must possess a minimum of an Secret clearance

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

• Prior military experience (no preference on which branch)

• Experience with C++ or Fortran (can be taught)

• Experience supporting aviation, flight simulation, and embedded systems projects

Compensation for the Software Technical Manager include:

• Salary Range: Up to $190,000 based on experience
