American Science and Engineering, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Software/System Test Engineering Intern, based out of Billerica MA.
We are currently searching for an innovative, out of the box thinking Software/System Test Engineering intern. The candidate will work with experienced Software/System Integration Test engineers to perform a variety of test engineering tasks.
This role will be a hybrid of 2 functions:
Testing activities will be related to the test and support of our X-ray security systems that scan baggage, trucks, and people in a variety of applications. Project activities will include testing hardware emulators, defect entry and verification, manual testing, and potentially some automated test script development. One or more projects will be assigned to the candidate to complete during the internship.
This candidate will also work alongside our Software Engineering organization, developing and supporting software for our X-ray security products. There will be a heavy emphasis on the support and development of distributed software using C#, and .NET.
This position will require interaction with other engineering disciplines. This intern assignment is expected to last no longer than 3 months.

Candidate must be currently enrolled in a degree program with a major in computer science
Candidate must have completed at least two years of the program
Familiarity with Windows and Visual Studio
Experience in WCF and other internet technologies is an advantage
