Vista is looking for sharp, self-motivated individuals to join our team. Youll become an expert in our cinema software and play a key technical role in supporting major US cinema chains, helping cinema exhibitors create an incredible moviegoing experience.

What Youll Own

  • Become an expert in Vistas suite of software modules.
  • Learn all aspects of the cinema industry.
  • Use SQL, application knowledge, and root cause analysis to solve technical issues that arise in the software. You will be identifying installation and configuration issues, user error, environmental problems, and bugs.
  • Your work will have you collaborating with multiple stakeholders, from corporate staff and IT personnel on the client side, to our outstanding team oftechnical leads, developers, and software implementation specialistson the Vista side.
  • You will contribute to building the Vista empire, by helping our customers minimize disruptions to their cinema operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical role, working directly with both technical and non-technical clients, especially but not limited to software implementation or support.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 once every 8 weeks.
  • Likes to play with MSSQL Server and T-SQL, and has an understanding of relational databases.
  • Can hold your own with advanced aspects of Windows OS, hardware, and networking.
  • Service industry experience, especially bar, restaurant, or movie theatre a plus.
  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or other technically-minded degrees (e.g. mathematics, natural science, engineering) are great, but all degrees are welcome.

Corporate Serving those who serve others – Supporting over 120 social service programs with responsive administrative and logistical efforts JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE The Information Technology Support Specialist provides hardware and software support for stand-alone and LAN PC users, including upgrades, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance. The IT Support Specialist supports both Corporate headquarters, and remote program locations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Information Technology Support Specialist performs the following duties: * Installs components, analyzes and diagnoses problems and repairs systems * Assists to plan and maintain computer infrastructure for office and classroom systems * Works with Corporate IT Operations Manager to implement new hardware/software applications * Maintains currency on software applications, expert on IT systems in use at VOALA * Train corporate and program staff in new program applications; provides ongoing training and technical assistance to staff * Oversee 3rd party technicians and consultants as needed * Other duties as required and is subject to change at any time Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications EDUCATION: * Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field Or Two years of IT-related experience EXPERIENCE: * Three years of progressively responsible experience in PC hardware KNOWLEDGE: * Knowledge of Windows and various platforms, audio-video, data communication, and LAN/WAN topology * Knowledge of voice over IP * Knowledge of Apple OS and Hardware * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of audio-video equipment TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: * Professional IT hardware installing and maintenance skill * Superior skill in software applications SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, with or without reasonable accommodation, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards * Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards COMPETENCIES: * Ability to sit for long period of times and lift boxes up to 50lbs frequently * Must have access to an automobile with adequate insurance coverage and a valid California driver's license PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science * Experience in troubleshooting PC applications (software) Volunteers of America is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
