You will be directly responsible for developingnew features for the Data Domain product offering as well as enhancing the product set to improve scaling, performance, high-availability, cloud integration, disaster recovery, and application integration. As part of the project responsibilities you will also be developing test automation and automation framework modules for continuous regression testing as well as addressing software defects across a wide range of products and storage solutions. The role will also require you to work collaboratively across Dell divisions to coordinate feature integration and product delivery.
The products will cover a wide range of Dell/EMC products and applications and we are looking for the right person to drive product development, enhancements, performance, scaling, and defect resolution across a wide range of platforms and applications.
The additional responsibilities will include the ownership and resolution of triage the issues, address the software defects, drive software defects in other components to resolution, and work collaboratively across departments for a successful development, release, and support of integrated solutions.
The development will primarily focus on the following product areas:
Performance (I/O and control path)
System Scaling (Virtual/Distributed)
REST interface development
Test framework and test case development
C/C++ programming/Python scripting
Distributed processing systems
Demonstrated knowledge of software design methodologies and processes
Strong debugging skills of large complex systems
Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
Strong attention to detail
Software tools and processes (Perforce, etc.)
Test automation (unit test and system test)
Education and Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years with a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
