Conduent is seeking an experienced Software Release Manager who'll be tasked with the Program Management of major software engineering releases of the NHMMIS.
This role includes program management of complex customer implementations, representing Conduent Software Delivery on Customer calls and meetings.
The Release Manager will also be responsible for the Project Management of all technical resources involved in Software Delivery, including software development, QA and configuration management. Coordination with other groups and departments, including Project Management Office, Product Management, Account Management, Professional Services and IT Operations.
Work with Product Management, Account Management and Professional Services to establish roadmap and scope major releases.
Coordinate engineering involvement into the requirement gathering and functional specification phases. Promote and champion adoption of agile practices to increase quality of end product.
Coordinate planning activities to estimate development & QA efforts for defined specifications. Work with executive management to establish and manage release plan.
Work with development and QA managers to build implementation plans and assign resources.
Establish release build schedule and scope assignments, and manage systems resources to deliver per plan.
Monitors all aspects of delivery.
Participate in Customer status meetings, and serve as main communication channel between customer, business and systems.
Report program status to engineering and executive management, with emphasis on risk management and issues escalation.
Ensure adherence to all SDLC processes, policies and standards and other audit requirements. Participate in constant improvement of software delivery processes for increased agility and quality.
Meet commitments by delivering quality and scalable solutions within agreed to milestones.
Provide the highest level of customer service to customers, whether these are current or prospective clients of the company, vendors, staff, business partners or visitors.
Manage confidential client, financial and employee information with discretion and good judgement in accordance with department and company guidelines.
Demonstrate a dependable work ethic.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the art practices; participating in professional societies.
Ensure tasks performed are consistent with established company priorities.
Ensure all necessary documentation is created (as part of all assignments) and maintained as the basis for future enhancement and knowledge sharing.
At least six (6 ) years' experience managing complex software delivery programs, including teams of 20 software and QA engineers.
Demonstrated experience managing large & complex programs, with customer facing responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with Healthcare is a strong plus.
Demonstrated capacity to understand complex systems and workflows.
Ability to resolve issues independently and to problem-solve complex technical issues.
Ability to manage work and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to independently deliver solutions within committed schedule milestones.
Effective oral, written and presentation skills and ability to develop long-term business relationships.
Ability to grasp complex requirements and specifications, then break them down for the purpose of implementation.
Ability to determine how changes impact customers and other systems.
Competency to utilize Company software, proficiency in Microsoft software applications and a willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
