Description Apex Life Sciences is looking for a Software Engineer to write and perform tests on medical devices for one of our clients in Bothell! This is an exciting permanent opportunity!

Create outline of verification test strategy that defines which test procedures need to be generated. Create and update Test schedule with test planning, test procedure generation, dry run of tests, verification testing, and report generation Participate in all phases of product development as needed, including reviewing requirements, design, usability, risk assessment and defects Manage execution of assign test procedures during formal verification.

Review all test data for proper completion. Create 510K Software Verification test report, tractability matrix, and electronic test data.

Bachelors degree in an engineering or scientific related field. 3+ years experience in the medical device industry preferred Demonstrated ability to effectively interact cross functionally.

Demonstrated ability to be goal-oriented and proactive in problem solving, coupled with creativity and a high energy level. Strong understanding of FDA regulations, International laws and regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong project management skills including planning, estimation and requirements management. Self-motivated with strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently. You will have the opportunity to build a test equipment development competence in support of product verification activities in both the Power Toothbrush and the Oral Hygiene and Whitening segments. You are responsible for: * Develop new products, using the latest technologies and resources, often realizing systems based on unverified specifications. * You work with the project team to translate their needs into a document with clear Tester Requirements to describe the required functionality and performance of the tester. * You reach out to potential suppliers to obtain and compare quotes for tester development and manufacture and decide which supplier to proceed with. * You work with – and act as the local interface to - the selected supplier to review their progress during both the development and the manufacture phase all the way up to Factory Acceptance Testing [FAT]. * You work with the supplier to complete Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification and Performance Qualification of the test equipment on site in order to complete Site Acceptance Testing [SAT].
