Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:

This role supports the embedded and mobile software systems development and ongoing maintenance, including test planning and execution, software forensics and root cause analysis, regression test automation and scripting, quality record creation, and effective cross-functional communications. This role requires strong Software Quality Assurance experience, and knowledge of mobile and/or embedded systems in the medical device field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the quality assurance testing of mobile and/or real-time embedded software systems

  • Strong command of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, etc.
    Strong proficiency in configuration management

  • Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Results-oriented, positive can-do attitude with appropriate urgency and tenacious follow-up

  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member as well as independently with limited supervision

  • Excellent attention to detail, producing high quality output appropriate to broader context

  • Flexibility and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management

  • Applies sound judgment when making decisions and communicating with peers and management

  • Familiarity with automated regression testing methodologies (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Hardware in the loop (HIL) test systems (preferred)

  • Able to read and understand C/C++, Java or other programming languages (preferred)

  • Familiarity with software development approaches such as Agile, Scrum (preferred)

  • ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors- Electrical engineering, computer science or related

  • Mobile, embedded or medical device software systems quality assurance
