Analyze existing or proposed systems, and devise computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data. Prepare charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submit recommendations for solution. Verify program specifications and diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts. Support verification and validation of, testing, debugging, and install of operating systems, hardware and software in coordination with the engineering, cybersecurity and information technology departments.
Develop and/or verify software system specifications and requirements documentation.
Produce and/or analyze test scenarios, plans and procedures.
Develop and/or analyze interface design documentation.
Develop and implement applications, tools, and utilities that support software development and analysis.
Participate in development and use of test strategies, plans and procedures.
Compile, assess, and report data results from software testing and analysis.
Support on-site customer interface for software installation, testing, systems integration, programming debugging and other computer system tasks as needed.
Conduct physical and functional configuration audits.
Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures.
Provide informal training in implementing software programs based on user requirements.
Maintain liaison with outside hardware and software vendors for system upgrades and maintenance. .
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Excellent communications and analytical skills; demonstrated working knowledge of a programming language (i.e., C, C++, FORTRAN, COBOL, ADA, SYBASE, etc.), computer systems and integrated software application programs. Must possess and maintain an active DoD Security Clearance. Must have experience working, performing testing and audits under an ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Must be a U.S. citizen.
