Need for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to aid in the whole cycle of equipment software release.

Qualified individuals will have a background in related major, experience and performing software build, testing, release and supporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, execute and update test plans that may include functional, system, and integration testing in addition to existing regression tests.
  • Review engineering specification and design documents and provide feedback.
  • Work with software developer to address software defects/issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist other support engineers during software troubleshooting.
  • Perform software code and release management, including code compilation and software packaging for releases/patches installations.
  • Develop software tools to assist with test automation, software emulation and other needs.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in CS, EE or other software engineering-related disciplines.
  • Good understanding on software development life cycles.
  • Experience with software development on Windows OS and/or Linux.
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment and interact with people from different technical background and/or disciplines.
  • Practical experience with C++, C# and .NET Framework.
  • Experience of 1-3 years in software quality assurance a plus.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry a plus.

Primary Job Responsibilities The Mobile Software Engineer in Quality will be responsible for developing test automation infrastructure and framework for PayPalHere APP on iOS/Android. This encompasses a variety of features such as testing mobile payments point-of-sale, virtualization, performance and instrumentation. Specific responsibilities include: * Create infrastructure, write and lead the engineering team in writing the test automation. * Own and develop testing tools and strategies * Lead and hold other engineers accountable for technical quality measurements * Build and maintain CI environment for mobile applications * Find and introduce new ways of code scrutiny such as cloud testing, dynamic and static code analysis * Incorporate our peripheral (point of sale) certification into a continuous integration environment. * Define, measure and report on coverage metrics and test objectives. * Set up and Support environments for testing. Job Requirements * Masters in Computer Science or related degree. * 5+ years of quality engineering experience with a solid knowledge of industry standard processes, protocols, tools, and methodologies. * Expert working knowledge in at least two of the following automated testing tools: UIAutomation, Frank, Cucumber, Calabash, Espresso, Selenium, JUnit, JMeter. * Experience in Object Oriented Programming experience in Java, C/C++ or Objective C. * Experience in scripting languages, like JavaScript, Perl, Python or Ruby. * Proficient in getting around Integrated Development environments (Eclipse, xCode, Android Studio). * Experience in version control concepts and tools for release management (e.g., Subversion, GIT, and Maven Repository. * Experience in developing unit / Integration level white-box tests that exercise our middleware and frameworks at the API level. * Experience with development best practices including agile processes, testing methodologies (white-box, black-box, unit, integration), continuous integration, Jenkins as well as mobile specific testing approaches and tools. * Experience in leading the development of test automation framework * Team player, pragmatic, self-starter, process-driven and results oriented. Bonus Points * Experience in the payments industry would be a plus. * Knowledge on EMV or Experience is testing EMV payment solutions would be a plus.
