Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, tools, framework & approach - including team enablement and test data strategy across project teams

  • Collaborates with other Delta groups to support strategic initiatives and projects, as well as coordinate functional testing in support of the Channels product teams

  • Be hands on and write, maintain, and execute tests and automation scripts as well as enable and manage all functions related to both automated and manual testing within your teams

  • Take bottom line responsibility and ownership for the quality of the products that your teams manage. Deliver all test and automation deliverables in a timely manner to enable timely roll out of high quality software solutions for our customers

  • Support all People Management activities (hiring, performance goal setting and evaluation, personal and career development, provide feedback and support etc) for all the FTE team members reporting into you across locations

  • Vendor management activities of all resources provided by Delta's vendor partners


Delta's Enterprise Technology Services supports cutting-edge industry leading technologies that will help define the next-generation of travel solutions and experiences. Our Test Engineering teams are responsible for defining, tracking, and executing quality assurance processes and metrics across all levels of our applications. Test Engineering leader should have 8-10 years of experience using automation to test web-based software products and services in a team environment. Test leader will help drive innovation and continuous improvement culture into our quality process across all teams. All candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.This role may be located in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis, MN

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Experience of working with various AWS cloud services such as EC2, s3 bucket, AWS code pipeline, CloudFormation, Elastic bean etc.

  • Hands on experience of virtualizing services for test automation using tools such as Wire Mock, Mockito etc.

  • Experience of writing, designing functional test cases using TDD and BDD methodologies using Gherkin syntax.

  • Experience of working with test management and agile management tools such as VersionOne, qTest etc.

  • Experience of working with container orchestration tools such as docker, RED Hat OpenShift, AWS CloudFormation.

  • Experience of non-functional testing such as performance, load, stress, security, assessability and usability testing.

  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer.

  • Hands on experience of programming concept such as OOPs in scripting languages like Java, .NET, Python and JavaScript.

  • Candidate should have hands on experience of writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using various open-source testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, LeanFT, etc.

  • Hands on experience with one or more querying languages such SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL and/or No SQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB etc).

  • Hands on experience in automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, Ready API etc.

  • Hands on experience of building test automation framework from ground up using modular framework and design pattern like Page Object Model design pattern (POM) etc.

  • Experience of working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM , SAFe, XP etc.

  • Hands on experience of working with continues integration tools such Jenkins, Circle CI.

  • Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs using tools such as Jenkins.

  • Hands on experience working with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit etc.

  • Hands on experience of creating test reports from automation test run using tools such as cucumber report, Extent report etc.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

VIEW JOBS 10/13/2021 12:00:00 AM 2022-01-11T00:00 Quality Assurance and Infection Preventionist: The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, coordinate and direct our facility's Quality Assessment and Assurance Program in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care and safety can be maintained at all times. The person in this position is required to have completed Infection Preventionist Training Delegation of Duty: As Quality Assurance and Infection Preventionist, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carry out your assigned duties. Job Functions: Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. However; it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from te position if the work is similar, related or is an essential function of the position. * Plan, organize and direct quality assurance programs and activities * Plan, develop, organize, implement, coordinate, and direct the quality assurance and assessment program designed to enhance the quality of resident care, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities. * Evaluate programs and effect changes as necessary to improve programs and assure compliance with regulatory requirements. * Communicate revised plans and changes to facility management to maintain awareness * Coordinate concurrent review studies performed within the quality assurance program, prepare resulting reports as required. * Establish and maintain tracking systems for recommendations of groups involved in quality assurance. * Develop and implement appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies. * Assist in the development of job descriptions for staff members. * Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the administrator as required. * Represent the facility at and participate in meetings as directed. * Maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents. * Schedule committee meetings and notify members of such meetings. * Assist in developing follow-up procedures for monitoring identified problem areas. * Maintain a reference library of written quality assessment and assurance material, laws, etc., necessary for complying with current standards and regulations and that will provide assistance in maintaining quality resident care. * Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the administrator as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the quality assessment and assurance program. * Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the quality assessment and assurance department. * Assist in developing yearly evaluation schedules for departmental studies. * Assist in identifying and classifying procedures in which potential exposure to blood/body fluids may occur. Education: Must possess, as a minimum, two (2) years college. Experience Sufficient previous experience in clinical health care including direct experience in quality assurance.
