Innovative Systems, Inc., is expanding our Software Quality Assurance Testing team. We currently have openings for junior and mid-level Software Quality Assurance Test Engineers with knowledge of software debugging procedures and software automation testing tools such as Selenium and SoapUI. You are highly curious and someone who leaves no stone unturned when solving problems or pursuing quality.

You will be instrumental in the testing of our solutions used by enterprises around the world to comply with regulations requiring screening to identify and prevent the financing of potential terrorism or money laundering activities (AML).

What you will be doing

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test scripts and test cases using test plans, project specifications, and other relevant information

  • Run both manual and automated test processes

  • Operate and maintain test environments; identifying testable statements contained in requirements and specifications documents

  • Collaborate with engineering research and development, product management, and other teams

  • Verifying specific action or function of code

  • Reporting defects found in testing promptly and accurately using standard defect tracking tools

  • Documenting test results including anomalies and issues; compare actual to expected outcomes

  • Reporting test progress against schedules

  • Providing test summary reports that reflects the quality attributes of the software under test

  • Performing both new functionality and regression tests; identifying, analyzing and reporting issues for follow-up

  • Ensuring the integrity of test material

  • Working collaboratively and proactively with other departments to monitor and improve quality processes.

Requirements you need to have

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship is available for those requiring work-visas

  • Up to 2 - 3 years' software testing experience (may be through internships or formal work experience)

  • Bachelor's Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related engineering or technical field or experience

  • Programming skill with at least two of the following: C,.Net, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL, Java, Groovy, PowerShell Scripts

  • Two or more years of software testing experience in a professional software development environment

  • Excellent track record as a software defect finder/reporter

  • Experience with Business and QA Testing Process Models

  • Strong experience and skill with software test tools, including defect tracking software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think from the users perspective

  • Skeptical nature; not make assumptions

  • Superior analytic skills along with strong creative technical problem-solving acumen

  • Proven success thinking abstractly and not conforming to normative thinking

  • Proven success in effective prioritization to meet deadlines and deliverables

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Success working alone as effectively as a collaborator

It's a plus if you have

  • Experience with SoapUI or Selenium WebDriver test automation

  • Skill with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems

  • Experience with batch scripting

  • Server side testing experience with Web Service

  • Deep knowledge of testing processes and methodologies (plan, design, execute , report)

Why you'll love this job * The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for compiling objective evidence by conducting interviews, reviewing documentation, observing activities, performing audits, surveillance and investigations to determine whether organizations and/or individuals (management or non-management) are conducting business in accordance with regulations and established policies and procedures. * The Quality Assurance Auditor provides direction and recommendations for the resolution of matters of non-conformance through the development of corrective action plans, comprehensive fixes and/or process changes. * Based on input from the Quality Assurance Auditor and/or Department's investigation the Company will determine what personnel action is warranted.
