Taylor Corporation is searching for a Software QA Engineer to test various external and internal facing products and applications including web applications, Webservices, and microservices. The ideal candidate will have experience in development and infrastructure components that assist in planning and developing automation testing of Taylor Corporation product suite.

What You Will Be Doing at Taylor Corporation

  • Analyzing requirements to determine the testing strategy of different applications and products through automation

  • Implementing automation using in-house tools and or stand-alone scripts and code

  • Testing APIs, Web applications and Application data in temporary and permanent data stores

  • Staying abreast of current technology, new technological advances, and company standards

  • Reviewing test cases

What You Need For This Position (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology or a total of 3 years' experience in information technology

  • 3 years' experience in testing using automation(open source tools)

  • Proven experience in developing test scripts using Java or JavaScript.

  • Experience testing distributed n-tier applications

  • Experience as a QA Automation Engineer

  • Ability to analyze user cases, stories, requirements and or technical specifications into test cases

  • Ability to write code for automation of test cases using Stand Alone scripts and web automation frameworks such as Selenium

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability and experience in one or more of the following:

  • Web Automation Frameworks: Selenium, SOAP UI, JMeter

  • Front End: JavaScript, HTML5,CSS3,HTTP,REST,MVC

  • Programming Languages: Ability to code expertly in Java

  • Build Tools: Jenkins, Grunt

  • Operating Systems: Familiar with command line tools on at least one of Windows (Power shell) or Linux (Shell scripting)

  • Source Control: Good knowledge of working with at least one Source control system - Git, Stash, SVN etc.

... and if you have the following, even better! (Preferred qualifications)

  • Working with Remote and Offshore teams

  • Experience scripting using multiple languages (shell, groovy, python etc.)

  • Experience with Web/Rest Services

  • Effectively communicate cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Staff Quality Engineer to assure products, processes, and quality records conform to quality standards and establish compliance with the quality system. This role will include responsibilities for maintaining a strong collaborative partnership with cross-functional team members that facilitates organizational success by protecting patient safety and meeting business needs. * Provide leadership in direct support of medical device manufacturing. * Management and development of Quality Engineers and Technicians. * Ensure successful planning, management and execution of area projects. * Passionately find opportunities to assure compliance to all applicable internal, domestic and international quality regulations, US 21 CFR 820 (QSR), ISO 13485, etc. * Approve/author experimental plans, protocols and reports, including supporting teams on appropriate statistical analysis techniques. * Identify Quality Initiatives and lead multi-functional teams to complete them. * Provide enthusiastic, diligent, and fact-based communication to Sr. Management team, peers and team. * Identifies and controls manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by participating in efforts/teams focused on identifying the primary root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions. * Leads and assists with process validation and inspection qualifications. * Creates and reviews risk assessments, including pFMEAs to evaluate product and process risks. * Identify and implement effective process control and monitoring systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements. * Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues. * Lead and implement various product and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing). * Participate in or lead teams in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices (e.g., represent the Quality function as a Core Team Member). * Work with microbiology to ensure appropriate environmental monitoring and that microbiology requirements are considered in product and process development activities. * Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. * Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. * Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. Qualifications: * Bachelor level degree in Engineering or Technical Field; advanced degree preferred * 8+ years experience * Previous Quality engineering experience and demonstrated use of Quality tools/methodologies * Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred. * Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. * Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. * Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. * Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. * Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
