SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats.
SAIC is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer in support of our United States Air Force customer. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the entire software development life cycle. This role will ensure reliability and performance of software by timely execution of SQA activities such as requirements traceability, product reviews, peer reviews, process excellence, test excellence, software audits, non-conformance control, metrics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform analysis related to solution design, requirements, specifications, other technical design documents to establish well defined and adequately structured test strategies and test architectures
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, cases, scenarios/scripts, in compliance with defined SQA standards and methodologies
Accurately estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Conduct manual testing with ability to execute automation scripts
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs; monitor debugging process results
Perform thorough regression testing when new code is deployed or when bugs are resolved
Develop, implement, and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Track quality assurance metrics
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
US Citizenship and a DOD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Able to learn, apply, and follow company best practices
Able to work independently, raise issues, and take necessary corrective actions
Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language
Hands on experience with implementing process improvement frameworks
