Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.
The LS-SWIFT Division of KLA's Global Products Group provides patterned wafer inspection systems for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Its mission is to deliver market-leading cost of ownership in defect detection for a broad range of applications in the production of semiconductors. Customers from the foundry, logic, memory, automotive, MEMS, advanced packaging and other markets rely upon high-sample wafer inspection information generated by LS-SWIFT products.
LS (Laser Scanning) systems enable cost-effective patterned wafer defect detection for the industry's most sophisticated process technologies deployed in leading-edge foundry, logic, DRAM, and NAND fabs. SWIFT (Simultaneous Wafer Inspection at Fast Throughput) systems deliver all-wafer-surface (frontside, backside, and edge) macro inspection that is critical for automotive IC, MEMS, and advanced packaging processes as well as foundry/logic and memory fabs.
LS-SWIFT operates from a global footprint that includes the US, Singapore, India and Germany, and serves a worldwide customer base across Asia, Europe and North America.
The Project Manager, AI solutions role is a high-visibility role in the LS-SWIFT Division, and presents a great growth opportunity. Our product includes machine control software that interface with optics, sensors, robots, electronics, stage; user interface software with desktop and web technology; Machine Vision and Deep Learning Algorithms; AI infrastructure to integrate deep learning frameworks and high-performance computing with GPU and CPU image computers.
You will play a key role in product development, starting from collabrating in AI research to product definition to deployment. This incldues working with research and technology groups inside and outside KLA, strategic & technical decision making, planning, scheduling, delivery, insuring quality and keeping product on time/budget and shipping products. Your technical acumen, project management, communication and collaborative skills will help the team to be product focussed and keep deliverables on track. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Collaborate in defining strategic product roadmap
Drive investigations with internal and external research partners
Validate AI solutions/research against business requirements
Convert business requirements into project plans
Drive execution of plans to ensure successful project delivery.
Manage and mitigate project risks including business, technical and schedule risks
Escalate any potential blockers or show stoppers to senior management.
Track overall product features and defect trends - while understanding their cycles.
Desired educational background : MS/Ph D in CS or EE and at least 4+ years experience from low level programming to high level architectural concepts
Strong Understanding of Machine Learning concepts : Traditional ML, Deep Learning, Bayesian learning.
Expertise in : Software architecture, Java/C#,C++, Python, Tensorflow, PyTorch etc,
Desired expertise in Image Processing, wafer Inspection, EDA design
A proven track record of working with applications and driving products and solutions to market. A technical background in semi-conductor applications an added plus.
Management skills : should be able to work in a cross-functional group, work with Software, Algorithms, Systems Engineers and Applications and Marketing located globally. Should also be comfortable working with external research groups and academia.
Software engineering background including requirements, development, integration and testing
Experience in Software development life cycle - Planning, Development, Integration, Validation, Release
Excellent in project planning, document requirement, and push project forward in systematic fashion
Good interpersonal skill to manage project through difficult obstacles
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skill
A self-motivated individual who takes the initiative in a constantly-changing working environment
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 3 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
