Dematic is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Software Applications Engineering team as a Software Project Lead. The Software project Lead manages the delivery of high performance, mission critical software solutions that drive the Dematic customer's automated systems. In this position, your primary responsibility is to manage the project deliverables by creating and maintaining the project schedule and budget ensuring on time delivery as well as exceeding customer expectations. To exceed customer's expectations you will be the customer's trusted advisor, which provides the foundation for overall customer satisfaction and ensures repeat business to Dematic. To be successful in this position, you will need to have a good business acumen, have an inquisitive mind, be able to effectively communicate internally and externally, and lead teams that work in multiple offices throughout North America. You must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently and at different phases of the software development life cycle and be willing to travel to customer locations as necessary. Capabilities: The Software Project Lead is accountable for the following actions:

  • Responsible for the on time delivery, quality, and budgets of assigned projects

  • Responsible for coordinating the activities for all customer deliverables

  • Responsible for publishing, communicating, and maintaining a project plan

  • Proactively seek ways to identify and mitigate project risks

  • Single point of contact for customer and Project Management for software

  • Manage external influences to allow the technical side of the team to remain focused of the deliverables

  • Ensure standard work being followed (DI1000/ISO)

  • Mentor less experienced project leads

  • Receive and understand the solutions development teams' concept and simulation for designated projects

  • Ensure the customer is adequately trained and can effectively run the delivered software solution

Experience and Education:

The ideal Software Project Lead will hold the following education, certifications and relevant experience:

  • BS in Engineering or Equivalent - required
  • PMP
  • Preferred
  • CSM
  • Preferred
  • 5+ years engineering or software project experience

  • 1+ years logistics industry experience

  • Jira and Confluence experience
