Software Product Manager, Framework And Applications - Deep Learning

Nvidia Santa Clara , CA 95051

Posted 4 weeks ago

Deep Learning is an exciting new area of machine learning. To bring AI to life, neural networks need to be trained and deployed with domain specific knowledge. Training and inference can be integrated into applications in the data center or at the edge, such as in automobiles, drones, medical devices, and more. Some of the common applications using NVIDIA deep learning software are image classification, object detection, recommendations, conversational virtual assistants, and reinforcement learning.

As a Deep Learning Applications Product Manager you will be working closely with our external customers across all business verticals as well as major cloud providers and internal customers, such as the NVIDIA Drive, Robotics, Research, and Jetson platform customers. You will need to understand the popular applications for deep learning (e.g. Computer Vision, Speech and Audio, Natural Language Processing and Recommendation Engines), the neural networks for those applications and how they can be optimized and deployed to target GPU accelerators.

As Product Manager, you will lead key pieces of NVIDIA's portfolio of software and platforms that are enabling breakthroughs in artificial intelligence through scientific computing and deep learning. You will engage with customers, define products and roadmaps, develop business strategy, devise marketing positioning, and take your products to market. You will have the ability to adapt strategies to changing business environments, along with a strong background in software for technical computing and programming SDKs.

The Product Management organization is a small, strong, and visible group both inside and outside of NVIDIA as our team is focused on deep learning use cases to drive the company's strategy. We need a self-starter to continue to grow this area and work with customers who are on the cutting edge of AI.

Do you have the rare blend of both technical and product skills? Are you passionate about groundbreaking technology? If so, we would love to learn more about you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define and Prove: You will collect insight and build market analysis that provides the data to enter or change new markets through a clear value proposition for your product

  • Market intelligence: Understand your developers and champion their needs through roadmaps and priority setting as well as competitive solutions

  • Build and Deliver: Collaborate with engineering to set requirements and priorities

  • Sense and Respond: Work closely with customers, create surveys, present at conferences, understand product quality and monitor critical bugs

  • Asset creation: Work with marketing to define positioning that enables the creation of technical content, including blog posts, webinars, developer tutorials, and more to communicate the product value proposition

  • Product launches: Define early access programs (beta) and go-to-market launch strategies as well as contribute to the cross-functional execution across Marketing, Public Relations, and Sales.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline. MBA is a plus.

  • 5+ years product management experience

  • Experience in technical product management, or similar, at a technology company with a track record of success

  • Proven ability to collaborate with world-class interpersonal and public communication skills having shown an ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong leadership skills and a creative and collaborative attitude

  • Ability to influence and work with a best-in-class team of software engineers

  • Experience working with Deep Learning software, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, and/or Caffe

  • Experience working with Neural network applications involving training and deploying

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience training and deploying deep learning applications

  • Experience with CUDA or other NVIDIA software libraries

We are widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. We have some of the most hardworking and knowledgable people in the world working with us. If you are agile and autonomous, we want to hear from you.

NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
