As a Software Product Manager of Insitu's Family of Systems of Products which includes ScanEagle 2, ScanEagle 3 and Integrator, you will be responsible for delivering product releases to an emerging customer base. In this role you will

  • Oversee the development, release delivery and/or support of a technical product utilizing a software focused matrixed, multi-disciplinary, team.

  • Work with the Customer representatives, Program managers and/or Business Development to establish development strategy and product definition.

  • Prioritize the evolution of capabilities and advances the architecture of existing systems. Achieves goals for productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acts as primary point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor, demonstrate, document and report the product's implementation, timelines, budgets, issues, risks, risk mitigation and successes to stakeholders.

  • Establish partnerships and maintain strong and effective stakeholder working relationships.

  • Evaluate new standards and compliance to generate roadmap, trade studies results, performance assessments, capability gap analysis results and derives recommendations

  • Product Managers are planners and executors.

Requirements:

Knowledge

  • Highly Desired: Subject matter expert on C4ISR software technologies encompassing command and control, communications and intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance as ground control station, autopilot and communications.

  • Research and technology assessment across a wide range of technology so that we can bring best in class to development.

  • In depth Use-case knowledge to ensure product research and development is in line with customer need.

  • Experience with software design and sustainment. Cradle to Grave.

  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as software. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverable s.

  • Knowledge of software verification and validation

  • Lead and manage a cross functional team toward stated goals

  • Multitask and provide leadership across several different efforts

  • To collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.

Abilities

  • Able to speak with customers and non-technical audiences and translate that into a technical approach for internal engineering direction

  • Able to transform customer needs into technology development focus

  • Create vision, see big picture, holistic view

  • Build and maintain relationships internally across organizations/departments and externally with customers and technology providers/partners

  • Ability to communicate with upper management including ELT

  • Be a trusted SME within the organization to contribute in direction and strategy

Education and Experience

Technical Bachelor's degree and 9+ years related work experience or a Master's degree with 7+ years of related work experience.
