As a Software Engineer at Collins Aerospace, YOU are supporting the development of state-of-the-art flight critical embedded software for military and commercial aviation applications. YOU are a member of the engineering team responsible for the design, development, and verification of real-time embedded software. What YOU will do:
You will be a people manager
You will manage Software Programs
You will be responsible for the schedules, budgets, and earned value of the Software Programs
You will interface with the customer
You will interface with the certification authorities
You will interface with the value stream leader
You will interface with many key stakeholders of the overall Software Product
You will identify and implement process improvements
You will coordinate tasks
You will perform Software Design, Development, and Verification Tasks
You will manage translation of customer requirements into software requirements
You will review software requirements to ensure compliance with customer requirements
You will manage implementation of software requirements using design models (flow diagrams) and/or software code (proprietary language)
You will review of software design and code to ensure compliance with software requirements
You will generate, run, and review test scripts and data to support software verification test activities
You will generate documents to support aerospace certification with Transport Canada

Education & Experience:

Master's Degree
Aerospace experience
Management experience
DO-178 (Level A) or similar military standards
Experience with Certification Authority Audits
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Planning, Tracking, Coordination, and Earned Value skills
Experience managing projects/tasks across functionality and geographically
Strong communication and interfacing skills with team members, upper-level management, customers, and auditors
Full life-cycle software development experience

Employee Referral Eligible
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
