This position will be part of the Robotic Systems Development (RSD) team within the Central Technology Office (CTO). Our diverse teams go beyond technology development, providing comprehensive solutions, services, and lifecycle support. This position is located in Holland, MI. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in-office and two days optional to work from home.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - $140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Our autonomous vehicle software encompasses all aspects of automating vehicles used in intralogistics, from low-level hardware interactions and safety over localization, perception and task execution out to UI and diagnostics. We specialize in the development of integrated systems, the fusion and interpretation of data, and the design and deployment of elegant solutions. As a critical member of the team, you will support the integration and testing of our vehicle software stack in interaction with our product development and validation teams. Work is primarily focused on software system integration and software verification and validation.
Responsibilities and learning opportunities include:
Discovering, investigating, and solving problems
Developing, documenting, and executing test approaches and procedures
Conducting hardware, software, and system integration
Troubleshooting anomalies
Participating in technical reviews and status meetings
Crafting test scenarios
Performing data analysis
Creating, updating, and validating tests and tools in cooperation with the test automation team
Assessing compliance to product specifications and international standards
Interacting and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on technical and programmatic issues
Tasks and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher, with a major in an engineering discipline, computer science. physics, or math (other majors considered with relevant skills/experience)
3 to 15 years of work in a technical environment
Required Skills:
Ability to manage a dynamic workload in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
Clear, concise, and correct written and oral communication, including grammar, spelling, and composition
High standards of quality and attention to detail
Desired Technical Skills:
Experience with software and hardware integration methodologies
Experience with software and hardware test methodologies
Expertise in problem decomposition, root cause analysis, and risk analysis
Familiarity with issue & task management systems (eg. Azure DevOps, JIRA)
Familiarity with C/C++ and Python
Familiarity with Linux and TCP/IP networking and bus communication (eg. CAN)
