Job Description:

Plans, conducts, andcoordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents,tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions tobusiness/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions bymeans of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards,processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Appliesknowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed inbusiness/mission applications, information processing techniques used, andinformation gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects programerrors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of programdevelopment, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of programintent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques,and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Other Duties Include:

  • Design and develop webbased and desktop applications through collaboration of user designspecifications, user stories and Business Requirements Document (BRD)

  • Consult with users, product marketing and product management to determinesoftware/system functionality and scope of technical specification document(TSD)

  • Architect and design state of the art solutions

  • Assemble reusable classlibraries and web services

  • Provide expert advice and consulting in maintenance andenhancement of existing code within high transaction volume / highlyavailability environment

  • Unit test developed code

  • Code deployment asrequired and compilation of deployment guide for promotion of code from Dev ,QA, Training and Production environments

  • Assume development lead rolefor large projects

  • Use discretion and expert judgment to establish level of effort for developmentactivities

  • Identify development tasks and track progress against project plans utilizingTFS or other SDLC management tools

  • Assess new technologies relevant to company business,evaluate benefits and outline presentation of new innovations to meet businessobjectives

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Product Management, Developers, DBAs,Configuration Management and QA team

  • Other projects and dutiesas assigned


Education and Expereince:

Bachelor's degree from anaccredited college in a related discipline (Computer Science Preferred) 9 to14 years of professional experience Experience developing with one or more of ASP, ASP.Net,C#, Windows Applications, HTML, XML, XSLT and JavaScript Explicit experience developing software applications using .Net technologies,C#, MVC, MVVM, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, and JQuery is required. Experience with Angular, HTML5 and CCS3 is a plus. Must possess provenexperience of developing of n-tier applications including Web applications,windows applications, web services, and integration with 3rd party products anddeveloping re-usable class libraries. Must be able to successfully pass NationalAgency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

Development experienceutilizing Oracle and SQL Server is a plus. Experience with OracleForms and Reports programming a plus

Experience with Angular,HTML5 and CCS3 is a plus.

As our Software Engineer and database developer you will use your broad skill set and passion for data to help to enhance and grow our current ETL toolsets and data delivery. You will also be helping to build our data warehouse analytics platform for our Single Family Buy-to-Rent business which will provide property level data and analytics for each property within our nationwide portfolio. This role will include supporting ETL operations with a small team of data engineers and will require some nights/weekends oncall support. This position reports to the Director of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence. A little more about this role: * Work with business owners, data and BI teams to build data warehouse solutions * Design, modify, and implement tooling to support the data warehouse and ETL team * Ability to work on multiple ETL partner/vendor integration projects * Design and build data structures and processes to populate data warehouse systems using knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques * Recommend alterations to designs and implementations to improve stability and security of products and/or procedures * Gather and document requirements from internal customers * Design and implement from those requirements * Create unit tests, validation procedures, and document technical specifications.
