Software Engineering, Senior Advisor

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This role will have the ability to work both on/offsite(hybrid).

Peraton has a great opportunity to support the Aircraft Survivability Equipment(ASE) program as a systems engineer. Working to help the military with missile detection and evade technology. The Senior Software Developer oversees and works at a high-visibility level on ASE modeling and simulation, software, firmware, and algorithm design, development, and qualification activities.

What you'll do:

• Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of data processing software.

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software and embedded systems.

• Adheres to software standards. Analyzes stakeholder needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

• Confers with analysts, engineers, testers, and stakeholders to design and implement software based on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

• Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.

• Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.

• Review supplier design and deliverable reviews as a software design SME

• Support the software and integration team as software design SME

• Creating, reviewing, and optimizing embedded software

• Review existing source code for optimization and decoupling

• Creating scripts and tools to automate or assist in testing

Qualifications

What you'll need:

• Education: Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

• Clearance: Must be a US Citiizen eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

• Experience with software experience in a Linux environment and C, C++, and Python

• Experience with DEVSECOPS, AGILE and embedded software development experience

• Knowledge of Application and container development

• Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset

• Work well in a dynamic environment balancing various priority tasks

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
